So got my walker arms in tonight.

The video review will be uploading tonight and should be up on youtube some time tomorrow morning. (DSL sucks)

But I will provide some pictures. There was only one bubble which you will see on the 'cuff' of one of the main arm bodies. Other than that everything was great except for the actual claws. I really think they need to break those claws down into their component parts and cast them on a sprue, casting them whole just doesn't work. Too complex.

SickSix - nice to hear something good about the casting. A couple more such stories and I may put in an order I've been holding off on.

I like the big not termie character! something totally different and I am kind of sad i just made an order the other day, lots of pads and bits, lets hope they all turn up without too much hassle! but all going to plan I'll be grabbing some ofhtose other models next time :-)

I really want to love Puppetswar, but I'm forced to stick to "tenous distrustful passion."

Great sculpts, but the quality of the casts is always dicey (after three orders) and their customer service is either amazing or a huge issue. First order I had to get my credit card company involved, they got a new person who really took care of it, second order was fine, and now third order is weeks of radio silence to get bits replaced.

Well, unfortunately the actual claw pieces are too badly cast for me to use. I just don't have the fine green stuff skills needed to fix these things. And when you are paying $10 an arm you should not need to 'fix' anything. A little clean up sure, but I shouldn't have to resculpt detail.

I have sent them an email and eagerly awaiting a response.

Again, these guys have amazing ideas but the execution seems to not be on the same level as the creative talent.

I really wish they could just take some tips from all the other resin casters out there. Maxmini and Kromlech are both situated in the same country I believe? Why don't they just pass on their product to be made by either of them?

I ordered some the Steampunk Guardsmen style heads and not-Nightlords pads, picked them up from the post office the other day and they were fine. Too much flash on the pads for my liking, but it all came off easily without ruining any detail; a couple of minor, to-be-expected-with-resin air bubbles on the heads . These are only small items, though, so not sure they're a good barometer of casting improvements or the lack thereof.

Here we go, the pad off the sprue is only roughly cleaned up.

Yeah, those pads look roughly like what I received, overall. Though some of mine were unusable, they threw in extras for (most) of the ones that were messed up. They did replace them in the end, though. I still need to properly QA that pile.

It's disappointing that the not Emperor's Children shoulder pads look so rough. I was gonna place a large order for them and that really, really dissuades me from wanting to buy them.

I ordered a bunch of those pads myself both the troop sized and larger, and it IS a shame that the most detailed part being the skull at the front of the pads is also the part that suffers the most from the casting, mine nearly all had some form of damage to them, mostly small awkward bubbles in the resin and a few rather rough surfaces, the wings on them were mostly good and i still will use them all but I may have some issues when trying to get a good smooth paint finish on some details. I have bought from them a few times before and have had mixed luck with their products but the fact that they have some excellent designs and ideas is always tempting to buy more, I really like what they do I just honestly wish they would improve the quality a bit for all of us,

Yes, I have agree I have a list as long as my arm of stuff to buy, its just wether I take the chance but every time I come on here I just hear bad reviews due to quality.

I found a couple of unmade models I bought from them years ago which besides from some flash were not bad casts, makes me wonder what happened as they seem to deteriorated in the casting aspect.

Please guys lift the game you have great products that are failing due to poor casting, up that side of the production and you will be on a winner.

Ok, so earlier in the thread I showed some 'Walker Arms' that turned out ok except the actual claws. I emailed them and they responded quickly and said they would send more parts.

Well they sent more than just replacement parts.

I like these. Was surprised to see the in my package. They came out very well.

I like these as well and they came out very well.

Now to the actual replacement parts I needed...

[cue depressing horn sound]

Total and utter failure. It is clearly in the way they made the mold. These claws need to be cast as separate pieces. Trying to cast these claws as an assembled piece is clearly not working.

Hopefully between both sets of claws I have now, and some GS work I can make them work.

I did appreciate the extra stuff, and those things cast well, but the actual pieces I needed replaced are equally as bad or worse than the first set.
