One of the things that gets me is that these are actually more expensive that GW's 5 Man box of Space Marines.
18 Euro is $24.30 (2/6/2013) + you need should pads and guns.
Not that people don't have umpteen million bolters laying around.
I like the look, but they are static posed and more expensive than the thing that most of us gripe about. I wish they could have came in a little cheaper, or included a set of shoulder pads that you chose from their awesome selection. ( I do understand how complicated that would have made the order form though :( )

Find a better set of figures for cheaper.
These guys don't have a fraction of the resources GW does, yet continue to put out great kits that are close in price with GW.
Besides a direct comparison to GW is not fair. FW world yield a better comparison. And they are cheaper than FW.

But they aren't modular like Forgeworld and don't come with shoulder pads. The costs are actually within a few dollars of each other once you just consider the pads. I see Bloodlord's point and I think it's a valid one. People harp on GW prices but then praise stuff like this that is costed the same as GW's most premium product. No saying they aren't cool or that puppet's war doesn't turn out a cool product (how good will be determined if my shipment I ordered almost month ago ever arrives) but they aren't a cheap alternative and seeing the same people bash GW pricing and then praise things ilke this gets old. Why isn't GW standard a fair comparison? Why does it have to be Forgeworld as a comparison. These are suppose to be counts-as space marines so any GW product that of a Space Marine seems like a valid comparison.

Comparing a company that has an established injection molded plastic figure business to a 'cottage' resin caster is not fair in my opinion. Not fair when talking about pricing anyways.
The space marine molds have been bought and paid for many times over, and plastic is cheap. Puppets war has just developed a new product and is casting resin out of degrading molds that have to be replaced.
Also how are these figures less modular than FW marines? LOLWUT? Heads, arms, chests and legs? Check.
And, by your logic then FW should be compared to GW. But you don't see people doing that do you? So why is Puppets War suddenly held to that standard?

@sicksix unfortunately at the moment there is a white knight offensive whereby certain members are going out of their way to attack other manufacturers it's very weird indeed.
Personally I would love a fully componentised (is that even a word?) of this kit like the part breakdown in the WIP photos even if it did mean it would cost more.

GW is also a company with massive overhead costs that a "cottage" resin company doesn't have. As for the models they aren't fully customizable right now. If they were chests, heads, arms, legs, and everything as the different parts previously noted then you'd be right. However they are solid cast on the head, torso and legs. Only the arms are modular per the website and photos. And as I pointed out people think Forgeworld is outragous but Puppets War, once shoulder pads are included, are comparable in cost to even them. @Unclebadtooth Not a white knight. Just not a fan of hypocrisy (sp?). I purchased products from Puppets War. I'll be able to comment on their quality when they eventually arrive. I'm not attacking Puppets War at all. I feel about them like I do about any company I purchase product from. If I like what I see and the price is reasonable to me in my current lifestyle I purchase. Also I'd agree, if they were fully customizable like the WIP photos showed I'd happily pay more than I would for a GW/ FW model. That's assuming the product I've ordered is of a positive quality (which I'm sure it will be). I'm just not a fan of paying more for monopose models.
