Loving lady Fancy hair, such a nice model. Loving your colour picks on her.

Thanks!
Yeah, I wanted to get some bright colours on her, break up all that brown.

The recent hot weather has made painting a little difficult, but I did finish Lady Fancy Hair:-

Anyone who has read the Kingdom Death news thread recently will know I'm not the companies biggest fan right now, but I've got to admit they make really nice minis.

And while I'm in a Kingdom Death mood, I started another one:-

The, rather creepy, Skully.

I also made progress on Hornblower:-

Why can't I take a decent picture of his face

And Doc Ock:-

I'm a bit out of my comfort zone with this guy, but it's been fun to paint so far.

Hopefully, I'll get a bit more done this week.

Skully is creepy. Nice skintone, though. Lady FH came out good. Brilliant blue. Good work on Doctopus, too.

Lady fancy hair came out amazing, love it. Skully looks to be a fun model, looking forward to that one.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Cooler weather means more painting!

Doctor Octopus is finished:-

He's painted a bit basically, and I overdid the washes in places, but I had fun painting him.

Hornblower is getting there:-

Just his legs to go.

Skully still has further to go though:-

Made a start on their armour.

The cooler weather continues to encourage more painting!

Finished Hornblower:-

I've accepted this guy will never photograph well, looks good in hand though.

Skully is mostly done:-

Just wraps and cloth left.

And Ogre has returned:-

Got most of him done, just small bits to go.

Also prepped Angry Joe for when I finish Skully:-

I love the Gorm armour set.

Thanks! It feels good to make a little dent in my pile of unpainted Kingdom Death stuff.

Thanks! He's taken a while but he's looking good.

Finished more stuff! Skully:-

While she's probably my least favourite of the minis out of the Gigalion expansion, she was fun to paint

And the Ogre:-

Really pleased with how he turned out, well worth all the time it took.

Made a little start on Angry Joe:-

He's got weird arms.

Great Tyrant, love the color choice, normally Ogres tend to be painted in more earthy colors, that's a nice contrast.

Thanks guys! Like I said I'm super pleased with him.

Nothing finished this week, painting Angry Joes bodysuit used up a lot of my painting mojo:-

I forgot about all the tiny details on these Gorm-suits.

But I did manage to paint a bit more Submarine:-

3/10s finished!

I also made a start to my Seahorseman:-

He's the first of a big batch of random minis I prepped this week:-

That should keep me going for a while.

I never would have thought to put a gun called Angry Joe in a purple bodysuit. Very intriguing.

Now showing mutants and dungeon-crawl heroes!

Painting total as of 3 July 2025: 79 plus a Deva King statue

Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

That's probably why he's so angry.

Thanks! Not sure when I'll get to the doggy, I can't think too far ahead about what I paint or I lose interest before I even get to it.

More finished stuff!
Angry Joe:-

He was a lot of fun to paint, despite all the fiddly bits!
Now I've got all the Gigalion Survivors painted I just need to get the Gigalion itself done ...One day.

Seahorseman (now known as Sir Shelly the Seahorse Knight):-

Another fun one, still can't paint gems though.

Also still chugging away at my submarine, should have one half finished by the end of next week hopefully.

Sir Shelly is a fascinating model. Brilliant blue.

Angry Joe turned out well. Looks like a post-apoc fantasy version of The Phantom. The axe is sweet.

Angry Joe turned out ace.

Sir Shelly . Looking like he just won the Derby.

All those strange critters you have prepped, very interesting times ahead.

Thanks guys!

Finished another mini, Quaff:-

Thought I'd get the little woofer out the way since he was the simplest in the pile (only took me two days to finish, that's something of a speed record for me).

I also finished half a submarine:-

Taking a break before I start on the second half though, so I'm painting my Gigalion:-

Well, technically I'm painting the Gigalions base at the moment.

I've also made a start to Hooper:-

The castings not great on this one, but it's going well so far.

And I've made a start to Baron Zemo:-

With AMG revealing so much Marvel stuff over the last few days, I thought I'd better make more progress on my starter set.
His details are disappointingly soft in places though.

That's great. Just great. The dog rules.

Submarine is going to be an epic piece.

Excited to see the Gigalion.

Yeah the dog was surprisingly fun to paint, I should tackle more of my Guild Ball mascot animals.

Tried to get stuff finished but it's just too dang hot at the moment.

Baron Zemo is about 95% done:-

Just need to tidy up his pants.

And Hooper is at about 80%:-

He also needs tidy pants and a few other bits.

But I did manage to finish the Gigalions secret stash of human heads:-

Now I just need to figure out what colour dramatic dust clouds are.

Heatwave over, I can finally get stuff done!

Baron Zemo is finished:-

Despite my concerns over the poor detail in places, I think he looks quite good once I got some paint on him.

Also finished Hooper:-

Another one who turned out okay despite issues.

I also finished the Gigalions base:-

I decided dramatic dust clouds were purple.

Zemo looks cool. Love his bomber jacket.

Gigalion base also turned out swell. Looking forward to the critter.

Nice work on Baron Zemo-- that purple shouldn't work IRL as well as it does in the comics, but you pulled it off. Also, I like that it looks as if he's wearing jeans-- it's casual day at Masters of Evil HQ!

It's interesting to see Zemo und Hooper next to each other. Both fine paintjobs, but whereas Zemo is a little dull sculptwise, Hooper is far more exciting and with nice little details, like the stitches on the cloak.
And you can't go wrong with purple dust! Leg looks suitably icky with the blood.

Thanks!
Yeah I'm a big fan of Guild Balls obsession with covering everything in chunky stitching.

Finished the Gigalion:-

As you can probably tell I kinda half-assed it in end, but I think I put enough effort in the face for him to turn out okay.

Then I fancied working on some Steampunk stuff, but none of the Steampunk stuff I already had prepped, so after more building I started painting the Scarecrow:-

Whose awesome face refuses to be photographed.
And Singh:-

Who is big and buff.
And then I got distracted by assembling things again

Hey, right on! Good job getting Gigalion done quick. It looks cool. Singh is really something. Like a cross between Cpt. Nemo from League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Zangief.

Thanks! I wish I could've done a bit more to the Gigalion, but I don't know how to do fur when it's not sculpted on.

Finished more stuff.

Singh (Lost Worlds Exodus) is all done:-

The casting/sculpt wasn't as good as I thought it was (Or maybe I'm just getting fussy in my old age), still really pleased with him though, those are some of the best muscles I've painted.

Also managed to finish a surprise Ghost (Warhammer Underworlds):-

One day I'll actually finish a whole team.

Didn't quite manage to finish Scarecrow:-

His trousers still need highlighting.

Nothing new yet, prepping the second half of my submarine at the moment, it's a bit of a mess.

Now that he is finished, do we call him Sangh? Surprise ghost is also very cool.
