Hey, that was a rumour.

Speaking of, it seems to be widely accepted now that the big reveal will be a JSA / Yu Jing split. I'm wondering, as someone who just invested in a decently sized YJ force, if the existing JSA units will conitnue to be allowed in the YJ force.

Sounds more like an unaffiliated sectorial. Mostly JSA with a couple of exclusive units.

I wouldn’t expect JSA itself to separate.

It is was just an unaffiliated Sectorial I don't think it would be as big as they are pushing it.

I would love to see JSA go into NA2 to represent the defecting forces, hopefully with a couple of new units and then have Yu Jing with more of their HI shenanigans and authoritative beatings.

Hard to trust your Ninja and Shikami etc when they could be not-so-secretly traitors to the cause...but on the plus side, sooooo many new Kuang Shi.

I could certainly envision a "Kaiju" TAG (hell, the Szalamandra and Iguana are half way there as it is) with integral, head-mounted HFT.

One of the warcors leaked that theres a JSA Army box coming along the same lines as the USA one, in that it includes terrain and stuff. There was a screenshot of the contents but it's been pulled already.

Whatever the price of the USARF Army Pack most likely.

As that is what this looks like; not a repacked thing.
At the very least it seems like they learned from the USARF Army Pack. The 5 current items(Keisotsu Butai, Kempeitai, and Oniwaban) can be right around 90 points to start with.

That leaves the remaining 5 items to be priced/pointed. Kuge Delegate, someone elsewhere has pointed out, implies it is someone sent from the Imperial Court(Yu Jing or Japanese is unknown) as an observer/well, delegate. Ryuken Unit-9 seems to be the two GITS 'tribute' characters, Daiyokai Dengekitai seems to be the S5 HI, and the Kuroshi Rider is the biker with the cat-eared helmet.

Aragato Senkenbutai we know is the bikers.

Shoi is probably 2nd lieutenant (properly Shoui but I can't think of anything else it could be)

Likely the price and the availability. WarCors would need to have the product ahead of the launch date but likely couldn't share/play it until it 'goes loud'.

so could either be a yu jing imperial person staying around to watch. Or a members of japans nobility is trying to regain autonomy and funding units to oversee the JSA rebellion.

1x Oniwaban
1x Daiyokai

We've only had one starter box with a S5 so far and that was the Morat box some time ago.

"Delegate" sounds too much like "HVT" to me to believe it has a profile.

Well this makes me, as a JSA player, quite happy. I can understand some people being upset about the leak but CB tends to drag out teasers too long to the point I loose interest. If the plan was an Adepticon reveal then I'm happy this leaked now instead of CB slowly teasing for another 5 weeks.

Edit: Also Kuge is a word for a Japanese Aristocrat. So I'm going with HVT.

There's no "HVT" that was in there. Not a single model in that pack wasn't a pointed profile.
The Maverick that was included(Boarding Shotgun) also included the Dismounted version as a "limited time"(it was supposed to be a 'preorder bonus' but was basically just in the first few runs of the box) thing.

Absolutely. They have no concept of the idea of 'strike while the iron is hot'. It's like GW with Death Guard; they previewed them what 6-7 months out? It just becomes pointless "neiner neiner"-y.

If they'd been, say, teasing lore and dossiers for the new profiles? I think that would have been cool.

Possibly, but given the points elsewhere, to round out a starter, it'd have to cost ~35 points. That's basically a Morat "Delegate" at that point (and a Spitfire wielding one at that!).

It doesn't "have" to be anything. The points on starters are wildly variable if we're going to be honest.
USARF: 90 pts(without taking any FOs or anything special)
Nomad(vanilla): 132(same restrictions)
PanO(vanilla): 126(same)
etc
etc

Like I said, my speculation is centered around the fact that nothing in the only real army pack we saw before included nothing that couldn't be used for gaming(they continually suggested the dismounted Maverick be used as another FO Foxtrot) or that would effectively be a "dummy prize".

I don't think the Ryuken Unit-9 are going to be named, but they might be. I do think the Biker is going to be--just because of the ranking it has as well. I think that might be the 'special' model for the boxed set, since it would be a better example of a special boxed set model to discourage multiple discounted boxes being bought to bulk out an army(something that CB seems to have as their aims--"starter products are for starting, not for building armies!") quickly.

The biker is Celty from Durarara!! for what its worth.
