Mantic's are also a little odd looking, so no GW or Mantic. I'm just not all that wild about those and I so LOVE the shambling undead horde as an army concept.
Is there another company out there that makes a great set of skeleton soldiers? Plastic is preferred, but anything is worth a look. Just no strange "arms akimbo" poses, please.
Thank you in advance!
Really? You don't like the Mantic ones? I've got a load of Mantic Zombies & Ghouls (both sets are compatible to get extra variety) to use as cannon fodder for my
40K Nurgle army and they're the most 'realistic' undead I've seen.
Technical point - Ghouls aren't undead. I don't like their Ghouls, but I don't like
GW's Ghouls much either. Their zombies are better than
GW's, though probably due to the fact that
GW's were one of their first multi part plastic kits really, really show their age.
That said, the Mantic core units aren't
bad. They're certainly better than the rest of Mantics undead range.

Their skeletons are cheap, but the models themselves rub me the wrong way. I'm a huge fan of
GW's
VC Skeletons - tons of detail, goot proportions and a lot of extras on the sprue. They're just fething
expensive.
