So I was reading thru the GK codex and I had some questions:
Can models with a Personal Teleporter that disembark from a Land Raider or Storm Raven then teleport up to 30" and still assault in the turn they do so? I'm assuming no as the Assault Vehicle rule seems less specific.
Is a Techmarine's Servo-harness affected by Hammerhand? What about a Nemesis Force Halberd? This one I honestly have no idea about.

Shunting Grey Knight Interceptor

the rules for using a shunt move in regards to disembarking from a land raider are not sepcified by the land raider, and as thus, you would default as to the rules for using a shunt move innately, in short... a unit can not shunt AND assault on the same turn, no matter the means by which it is used.

Servo harness is NOT affected by hammerhand; it has a specified strength that is NOT BASED on the models strength; so while you alter the models strength for Hammerhand you do not affect the harness.

models with personal teleporters can't embark in a Land Raider.

A unit cannot Shunt and Disembark in the same turn as both actions are performed instead of the standard movement. And no, a Servo Arm is not affected by Hammerhand as it specifies that the attack is at S8 only.

Not quite. It's not that disembarking is done instead of standard movement. Instead, there are restrictions placed on movement dependent on whether or not the transport has moved.
If the transport had not moved then there would be no problem with disembarking and shunting.

True. However if the transport moved then it is not possible.
Valkerie is correct. The specific overrides the general,in this case the specific being the servo arms, and the generic being the hammerhand/MoT/Halberd rules. However, the servo arm would roll 2D6 for armour penatration,if being affected by MoT.

Ork Admiral Kroozin Da Kosmos on Da Hulk

This has nothing to with specific vs general at all. If you put a servo-arm on a gargantuan creature with S10, it would still hit at S8. As the servo-arm has a set strength and initiative independent from the model stat line, any modifications to those stats do not affect it.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe. |
