Hey all! I'm finally ALMOST done with my orks, still a little left to do but I thought I'd show you some pics of a Killa Kan (one of three) and one boy. I still haven't washed and touched up the rest of them but the plan is that they will look like this one when they are done. The picture quality isn't the best as they are all taken with an iPhone and no proper lighting. So without further ado, please tell me what you think!

In your wardrobe, looking for Narnia.

Looks very nice. I like the colours, especially the red.

Great model, one small thing though, if that yellow area is meant to a a hazard stripe plate, then make the black proportion the same as the yellow, lthis will make it look much better.

Kep up the great work!

The boy is much stronger than the kan, in terms of both cleanliness of the lines and evenness of coverage. I'd go back to the kan to smooth out the red, hit some of the missing details (I can see some gizmos and ribbed tubing in the first picture that's been painted over in red and would really benefit from being picked out in black or a metallic), and even out the hazard stripe (as Maximus mentioned, uneven widths just don't look right). Once those basic issues are sorted out, he'll be up to snuff.

Matching the quality of that boy (especially if you drill out the slugga barrel) will give you a very striking force - your colors are quite bold, without being absolutely garish.

I would also suggest painting your basing material. You won't be able to replicate the translucency of the grains (quartz, by the look of it), but unpainted natural materials tend to look out of scale next to painted terrain and models (the reason why people paint sand to look like sand - it's less natural, but it helps it jive with the painted models).

Love the boy. Not as huge a fan of the Kan, but I think it is just a 'I don't really like orange' thing. The colors on the boy are great! I especially love how you've managed to pick so many different colors for the model, but not have them overwhelm one another. The kan, on the other hand, needs a bit more variation, in my opinion. Maybe if you try to break the orange up with some other colors, it might make the model more visually interesting.

you should wash them in devlan mud an badab black.

How many Space Marines does it take to screw in a lightbulb.

6, 1 techpriest and 5 tacticals that stand around trying to pose like badasses.

An Ork, Space Marine and Eldar are walking down the road. They see a Chaos portal that has a sign on it. It says: 'say what is true or be sucked in'. The Space Marine says: "I think I'm the bravest" and walks past safely, the Eldar says: "I think I'm the most agile" and walks past safely. The Ork says: "Me thinks..." and gets sucked into the portal.
