I'm wondering what other people think about the new cairn wraiths compared to the old. I like both for different reasons but, i think i like the old ones better at the end of the day. I'm really curious to know what other people think and why.

New Cairn Wraith. When you put one of the alternate heads on him, he reminds me of the Grim Reaper from Soul Eater.

Love the new one even though I don't play fantasy I picked one up. Gorgeous design and it forgos the worst of GW's cliches.

Old one for me. The new one looks a little to cartoony to me. The old one has that sinister air, especially the hooded versions.

In your wardrobe, looking for Narnia.

The new one looks awesome, but the old one is cool too in it's own way.

I'd say the new except I really hate the look of the robe where it attaches.

Old ones had multiple sculpts, so much more variety.

While the new one looks good, I don't think it has enough variation to look good as a unit.. if you have 5 of them they will look like clones even with the alternative heads.

As far as Wraith sculpts go, Reaper or Heresy if you want good sculpts, Mantic if you want ultra-cheap sculpts.

I really like the new one.
I might even buy one, just because I like it so much.

Pretty obvious that the new one is better, I mean...he's flying!

Way on back in the deep caves

Reaper has a bunch of suitable wraith figures.
I bought one of GWs new ones, it will fit in well with the older ones.
BTW the wraith and banshee are plastic kits, not resin.

Add another to the "New" pile. That model rocks.

I was about to say new, then I saw the back side.
I'm going to say I like the old one more, just because I know which one I'm going to be looking at more.
From a gaming aspect, the shorter one is way better. I don't want the super tall character giving away too much LoS to my flanking ghoul units. Can't hide behind hills with the new one.
Yeah, it's stupid that they went to True Line of Sight, so the height of the model does come into play.

This this this. I want to go out and buy one of the new ones just to proxy some giant foam looking hands on him just for him to karate chop nasty beasties. So for me it's new one all the way.

I like the old one much more than the new. I think a skeleton walking/running at you with a scythe is a bit more spooky then a head, some arms, and a robe floating at you with a scythe.
