Here is mine,
One day I walk into my games workshop right when it opened, I was talking to the owner when a man nammed John walks in. He sain otloud that his models have been collecting dust and wanted to donate All of his war-gaming models, then he opens a box and shows me it and said I can have it. I was amazed when I saw first Ed gaurd red berret's and lots more painted forge world models and stuff like that. I traded a squad of guard for a box set bane blade, storm sword and a building set!

No Creed's offical title is tactical genius, he regularly fights for it against Gurvaldt Irusk and Tzeentch.

I had a moment like OPs.
I was playing a game at the local GW when this guy comes over to watch the game for a bit, during the opponents turn he asks how long i've been playing eldar(which is since 4th), then he just hands me a 3rd ed codex saying he doesn't play anymore
Old yes, but still an awesome get

Mine is similar to the OP's, though not nearly as awesome. A guy at my FLGS said that he was selling off a friend's Orks (they had worked it out beforehand, he wasn't just stealing them ) as he wanted to build his Grey Knights army up. Since I'm looking to start Orks, I bought a few boyz off of him. To be specific, I bought around 65 Slugga Boyz and 5 Lootas for the price of a Stormraven. At the time, I believe Boyz were $25 for 11 - so for $66, I managed to get just shy of $175 worth of product.
