So I was creating a army list for 1750 points and I have about 200 points worth left and I was wondering if a greater daemon is any good. Also how does the no armour save, but 4+ invun work? Thanks for reading

Their Invuln save works just the same as any other Invuln save in the game.

The 4+ invuln works the same way any invuln save works, there's not really a question there. There are a choice few weapons in 40k which ignore invuln saves, in which case you get no save at all.

Greater Daemons sound good on paper. The only caveat is you need to have a champion somewhere to sacrifice to summon them. Unless you have to, try not to do it to a power fist champion or someone with pricey wargear.

So if a bolter wounded it there would be no save?

No. They get their Invuln save.

Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me, I was a bit confused about that

basically some weapons negate armor saves but an invulnrable save is almost always taken unless there is a specific weapon or power that says it negates invulnrable saves. now if I may ask, is the invulnrable save he has because of a daemon power or is it just part of his profile?

I think it's part of his profile, it has a line where the armour save is and a small +4 which I am guessing is invulnerable save.

Yeah, that 4+ means his invulnerable save, which can always be taken.

Unless a weapon or special rules says that it cant be. Then it cant be. I was just wondering whether it was like the daemon prince's 2++ save. Becauset thats a demonic power and could be countered by a GK Libby's Dark Excommunication
