what would be best choosie for ork range 1) Ork Lobba 2) Ork Kannon 3) Ork Zzap Gun
and what you guys think and about a good Heavy Support Vehicle

Honestly between those, I'd pick 3.

I'd pick Lootas before though

He means lootas are vastly better than any of those options for sheer volume of high strength fire, longer range, and durability. Kannons are the best of those 3, but lootas are better for tank hunting.

Gotta love the zzap gun though. Its sort another shokk attack type of gun.

Actually the zzap gun is the worst weapon in the codex. Da Ripper included.

Kannons if you want to shoot vehicles, lobbas if you want to hide and/or kill infantry.

Because you have to roll for its STR everytime you use it, and its not an auto hit like it was in the previous codex. So youll be competing with either rolling to low, or missing and remember your average roll on 2D6 is only 7

In other words, it usually ends up as strong as a single loota for more points with fewer shots. Just buy lootas.

Lootas aren't AP 2. So buy both

I like kanons, they work well enough, and are cheap as sin.

I never said anything about Burnas. You can take units of 5-15 of either, read the codex.

i just look it up online it said Ork Lootas & Burna Boyz so just lootas then and im getting the codex today

The box comes with parts (but not bodies) for both, and they fit on regular Ork boy bodies just fine. In other words, a box of boyz + 2 boxes of lootas/burnas will build you 10 lootas and 10 burnas with Orks to spare.

What would three shots of AP2 ever accomplish? Other than a 1 in 12 chance of killing a grot for laughs. It's not like orks are terribly afraid of anything with 2+ armor, other than assault terminators maybe. And those have storm shields and can probably be killed by boyz, either through shooting or by assault, depending on the amount of lightning claws. Not to mention zzap gunz being almost twice as expensive as kannons with close to no vehicle penetration power.

No, lootas are still better, even with AP4. With volume of shots, you can do a hell of a lot of damage to enemy units, regardless of their armour save, whereas with a battery of Zzap guns, you'll only ever kill 3 models even with the best rolls.

I love artillary. I prefer kannonz to lobbas or zzap guns and they are the most reliable as you get to shoose your ammo. but zzap guns can be situational jsut risky like a SAG and lobbas while nice can't do much against AV .. kannons are cheaper and a good medium

I really like zzap guns, but cannons are better if you're going purely for effectiveness....but lootas are better than both.

Besides, even if ap 4 isnt ebough, youve still got the kustom mega blasta (so long as you take it) which is oretty much a kannon with a little less range.

Nope!

The Burna/Loota boxes come with parts for 4 Lootas, 4 Burna Boyz, and 1 Mek. Only comes with 5 legs/torsos, though.

I was contemplating getting some AoBR boyz to build more Lootas and Burna Boyz with my spare parts. Then I realized that I had a small tackle box FULL of Ork Boyz that were just not being used at all. So I took their arms off, and have started attaching Deffgunz to them. ^_^

So 2 boxes of Lootas and Burna Boyz and one box of Boyz would give you 8 Lootas, 8 Burna Boyz, 2 Meks, 1 Nob - from the Boyz box - and 2 Ork Boyz who can be equipped with shootas, sluggas/choppas, or special weapons. Alternatively, you could use the Mek legs/torsos from the L/B kit to build more Boyz, if you're not going to use Meks.

you can also just convert your own lootas/burnaz.

AoBR boyz plus bit of 1/4' copper pipe connected to a 3/4' short piece copper pipe for the backpack . cut the choppa off the arm and attach anohter piece of 1/4' copper off the end of the sugga and gle the choppa arm to thisadding a bit more green stuff so it looks like ther eis a handle there.

you can also use them to make lootas just clip off the choppa and shoota, piece of half inch copper pipe for the gun plus some green stuff and a shoulder harness of 1/4 inch pipe makes surprisingly cool looking lootas. and you can tape over parts of the copper when you base them for a cool steam punk theme

I keep it because I dont have the parts for another loota (box comes with 4 loota weapons and a kustom mega blasta) and for heavy armored tanks like Hammerheads, where deffguns wont be able to pierce. That, and theyre fun to have

I dont field big gunz instead i use lootas, and for heavy support killa kanz are nice, but if you want a tank vehicle, then ive heard of some people using looted tank with a big mek with KFF next to it (I wouldnt) but heavy ur de warboss!

The mek comes with a KMB, as big shoota and a rokkit launcha. Combine those three weapons and spure into something shoulder-mounted, add random stuff from your bits box and you got yourself a mek with a deffgun, counts as loota.

Boomweagons don't really need a KFF protecting them. They are far enough away from the enemy and really not that many points. Adding a KFF makes them overcosted.
