Hey,

I am new to the painting world and I wanted to post some of my paint jobs for you to see.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

First Terminator paint job.

And the Reverse.

Now for my Marines.

Notice the Assault Marine Legs on the Tactical Marine.

Now for my unfinished Rhino.

Fooled me that it was your first time...very nice

-Any terrain containing Sly Marbo is dangerous terrain.
-Sly Marbo once played an objective mission just to see what it was like to not meet every victory condition on his own.
-Sly Marbo bought a third edition rulebook just to play meat grinder as the attacker.
-Marbo doesn't need an Eldar farseer as an ally; his enemies are already doomed
-Sly Marbo was originally armed with a power weapon, but he dropped it while assaulting a space marine command squad just so his enemies could feel pain
-Sly Marbo still attacks the front armor value in assault, for pity's sake.

First time wow! Looks very good. The red is a bit splotchy - this could be taken care of using multiple thin coats over a brighter undercoat. But this looks great, especially for a first timer.

The red looks like it could use a couple more coats, the black needs highlighting and the barrels need drilling.
Other than that I think they look good.

Well I have to get some black highlighting color first before I can do that.

I wanted it to look like they were on campagn.. thats why they are like that.

Also the wash contributes to that look... Most of those models had a solid base coat.

These are modified Exorcists according to my tastes.

But i will do better next time on the wash and base coat

Well, if you notice the Marine on the far left in the first picture is my latest one. I am usiong Humbrol paints and now I am used to it and can get the details to stand out now.

Looking good!

This forum is for finished models, though. I notice you still need to do a bit of work on the bases.

I will move the thread to Painting & Modelling.

stop lying!

those things are looking good. I can't put my finger on it, but something is in desparate need of highlighting on the infantry.

That's really good for a first time. Much, much better than some of the armies I see at my local store. For the highlights on the tank you could try using not so much paint on your brush (like drybrushing). It would make them musch more subtle.

Great first time work - I humbly suggest that the eyes could be improved by adding a slightly lighter shade of green in a smaller area and then a white dot for light reflection.
