I have been searching for a Librarian in terminator armor with a force weapon and storm shield.

Without converting one myself, does anyone have suggestions as to which model to get?

I want the storm shield and force weapon represented, and I was curious what models you guys think I should pick up.

But he is kind of expensive for just one model.

Yeah, do this. His left hand (the one that holds a stormbolter) is actually not part of the cast; he has options for a stormbolter, combi-plasma, or an open hand. Just use a standard Space Marine hand and glue on a stormshield.

Just get a Librarian in Terminator armor and make your own storm shield. I did for my assault terminators, and it worked out much cheaper.

Well, you're stuck with the FW one if you don't kitbash.

I noted kitbashing, which is not the same as converting. You can also find SS at many fine Bitz sellers.

Unfortunately, you're stuck. Aside from Forgeworld's inquisitor piece and Kaldor Draigo, there aren't any single terminators with storm shields and something other than a thunder hammer. If you don't mind the GK iconography, Draigo works, but you'd have to cut off his storm bolter if you're going exact WYSIWYG, which is definitely more work than just applying a bit of glue. You could, I suppose, get a Wolf Guard terminator box if you must have a SS, nonhammer power weapon, terminator from all the same kit.

However, the SS bit from the assault terminator box fits very neatly with the librarian arm. The 'converting' involved here amounts to gluing two pieces that aren't from the same kit as if they were. This really is the lowest-effort method if you don't want a whole box of stuff, buying or trading for a single SS bit and just attaching it in place of the included hand options.

Boom, you're done, and don't have to buy an expensive Forgeworld model that might not even match the aesthetic of your army.

Find someone who plays Space Marines. I am sure they would have an extra storm shield laying around for you.


the Stormshield is simply the hand and the shield. the TDA Libby's arm doesn't have a hand, but 3 options for him to hold in it(empty hand, Stormbolter, combi-plasma)

an assault terminator Storm Shield fits perfectly into his hand.


Either you do this, are stuck with Forge World, or you actually do a major conversion.

Or you use a non-GW mini like the one Chowderhead up there posted. These four are really your only options.

Well I have a metal Termie Libarian and I'm looking for a PA one with an axe, so...

I also have a metric ton of dwarf and empire shields, and even a few TK, and DE shields that could fit your needs.

What I did was take the empty hand and attach the copula off the rhino with the little doors closed.No self respecting SM can not have a rhino,razorback,pred,vindicator or LR.

Can't do much better than buying a cheap bit and putting it on a relativity cheap model. You could also crab a templar or dark angel shield if you don't like the standard storm shields

You said no converting, there's no conversion necessary, you're just taking one thing and sticking it on another, Not exactly considered ridiculous converting.

You will find a TDA libby with something other then a staff hard to come by without some converting.

you can take the TDA libby model and cut his hand off at the wrist and glue another weapon in its place and do what was reccomended earlier.

We gave you advice that was well within the parameters you set.



You basically answered your own question. It is impossable to get a TDA libby with a SS and a weapon other then a staff without some very minor converting or getting Hector Rex from Forge World.

Converting, or more specifically Kitbashing, is very easy to do. don't be scared of it.

A Simple "There are no current models that fit the criteria without kitbashing/converting" would have sufficed.

I was just curious if anyone had any older models that fit the criteria.

Well, I have taken the Lysander model.

I just don't see the reason to complain when literally all you need to do is buy a single $2 bit and swap it out onto an area left flat for just such a purpose. There was a Terminator Librarian from 3rd ed that had an axe, but you'd still need to find a separate stormshield arm from the era, as it was significantly smaller than the modern Librarian Terminator model.
