NOTE: This is not meant to be a competitive, win-at-all-costs, list, but I don't want it to be a pushover. That said, I'll be appreciative of any help that may increase the list's potential to win.

Autarch - Fusion Gun, Scorpion Chainsword (85)
- Rides with Fire Dragons

Fire Dragons x 4 (64)
Exarch (28)
- will be in Falcon

Dire Avengers x 9 (108)
Exarch - Defend, PW, Shimmer Shield (54)
- Wave Serpent: 2x Scatter Laser (115)

Guardians x 7 (56)
Scatter Laser (15)
Warlock - Embolden (3)

Falcon - Pulse Laser, Shuriken Cannon (120)

Wraithlord - Shuriken Cannon (100)

Total - 748, unless my math is wrong.

I plan to have the Autarch + Fire Dragons go bust some tanks, With the Guardians deployed in cover, along with the Wraithlord acting as an anchor (as much as an Eldar army can have an anchor). The Dire Avengers will either fly as back up to the Dragons, or go after an isloated target.

I know that scatter lasers are generally preferred to shuriken cannons, but hey, point restrictions...

The only reason people get lost in thought is because for most it's unfamiliar territory.

Unfortunately that list isn't legal, guardians must be taken as a pack of no less then 10. To make that list legal you would be sitting at 799pts. You best bet (using the same models) would be something to the nature of...

Autarch w/ Chainsword, Fusion Blaster

5 Fire Dragons
Wave Serpent w/ Scatter Lasers (The scatters are twin-linked, not x2)

10 Guardians w/ Scatter Laser
Warlock w/ Embolden

5 Dire Avengers

Falcon w/ EML, Holofields, Stones

Wraithlord w/ Wraithsword, Dual Flamers

Reasons:
- Your Falcon is a long range gunboat in 5th Edition. Stay at max range shooting 3 s8 shots 48" and with the DA onboard it is scoring.
- The Wraithlord should just rush up the field and distract your enemy. S Cannon, while cheap, will just slow you down without much killing. If it's at range, then run, if it's close range then dual flamer it.
- Fire Dragons are one hit wonders, putting an Autarch with them is just handing your opponent more points.
- The Autauch should really be replaced with a Farseer, but I'm going of the premise you don't have one.
- Dire Avengers should never really look at CC abilities or Gear because they are AWFUL in CC. Min squad or full team with dual cata/bladestorm, however the full team needs a farseer with doom/guide to be effective.

Of course, forgot about the guardians' unit requirement. Can you tell it's been a while?

I do have a Farseer (actually I have about 6 Farseer models), so I could throw one in there no problem.

I like the idea of the Wraithlord smashing things, makes sense. As for the CC Avengers, I may have gotten carried away, and got worried about lack of CC. I'll take that to heart as well.

Thanks.

You're playing Eldar; don't worry about CC at all. It's not where you wanna be with that codex.

@ wtfwlf: WRONG!

Close combat is good in games higher than 1000pts. Banshees ALL have powerswords, Scorpions have 4 str4 attacks each and 5 with a powerfist, and harlequins give you lots and lots of rending. Each are good, you just took the DA unit out of its original purpose. The purpose is to bladestorm.

Craftworlds Eldar: 8500
Dark Eldar: 1000
Harlequins: 1000
Raven Guard: 1500
Tyranids: 1500

@ Helvost: WRONG!

None of those units can assault out of their transports. With the exception of a 'Seer Counsel on Bikes, I'm not gonna waste points on overpriced CC units that can't be mobile and assault at the same time. This codex is utter garbage in CC.

The point of DAs is to use bladestorm, or make transports scoring. I never said they were for CC.
