Does anyone know of any companies that make good looking Orc/Ork models other than GW? I want something cool looking to paint next but there's only a couple of options that take my fancy from GW.
|
The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody. |

You could try Mantic Orcs, they have a bit more of a cartoony look to them that would be enjoyable to paint.

I must be blind, I can't see any Ork models from Raging Heroes and there's only a couple from Banelords.

The old Rackham Orcs were gorgeous. Don't google them unless you're rich and love ebay, though.

Damn, they made some awesome looking models, they're not even on eBay :( Automatically Appended Next Post: What have you done to me? There's several models I want but they're US auctions and it would cost about £40 - 50..... So sexy though.

I'd also have to say to check out the Mantic Orcs. They don't have as much options as the Games Workshop Orcs, but look a lot nice IMO. They basically have 2 types of sprues. The Orc Ax and Orc Great Ax. The GreatAx Sprues come with Orks with 2H Axes vs 1H for the Orc Ax.
This is the Command Sprue. It normally comes with only one per set. Kinda lame.

Don't know if this helps but I used some old Hero Quest plastic orks to make a squad of boys. They turned out pretty cool ... I really need to take pictures of all my models so I can just say to look at my gallery. Oh well, google works, and you can find them on ebay.

Not a fan of those Hero Quest Orcs, but I will pick up a set of those Mantic Orcs for sure.

I've been seeing a lot of Rackham Orcs on ebay recently that are pretty reasonably priced.
You can also buy some from Ludik Bazaar for quite low prices/shipping:.
