Hey guys, this is my first list. I just started playing 40k and decided on Grey Knight prior to seeing what they are actually capable of.
(guess we are good vs demons) Anyhow, here is my list.

HQ
Castellan Crowe (150 pts)

Troops
Purifier Squad (x10) (332)
(1x) Knight of Flame with Halberd
(4x) psycannon
(5x) Halberd

Rhino Transport

Purifier Squad (x5) (186)
(1x) Knight of Flame with Halberd
(2x) psycannon
(2x) Halberd

Rhino Transport

Heavy Support

Nemesis Dreadknight (195)
Heavy Incinerator
gatling psilencer

Dreadnought (135)
Twin-linked auto cannon
Twin-linked auto cannon
psybolt ammo

Rhino vs Razorback Choice :I understand some people suggest razorback. However, I feel that the 36' range bolters even twin linked are meh compared to psycannon fire from inside the rhino, I can push them upfield, disembark and do massive psycannon damage, force a assault, cleansing flame, I6 with halberds and most likely going first.

HQ Choice :Castellan is in fact, a niche hero at best. His inability to ride in transports and be part of a group are a downside. I intend to use him either to hold on incoming swarms with his blade defense (not sure on exact name). Taking Purifiers as troops is well worth it. If I'm lucky I can tie up a HQ or MC and heroic sacrifice him.

Heavy Choice: I took the dreadnought for the 48' anti-tank weapons. I decided that dropping the dreadknights teleporter was a good idea, not only was it expensive, but with a purifier army, I'lll stick with the anti-horde approach, not to mention vs poison he goes down like a baby. His main focus will be to protect the Dreadnought and block LoS from anti tank weapons. His Psilencer and incinerator make easy work of mobs of infantry.

Thinking for 1500 point list (Still have to play with the numbers a little bit)

Adding :

Stormraven gunship
Dreadnought(TLAC x2, psybolt ammo)
Bump the 2nd purifier squad up to x10 (field the additional with x2 psycannon, x3 halberd)
Throw in a Rhino and call it good.
Dropping Dreadknight psilencer for greatsword.

I will be playing this army for the first time, in about an hour, I'll let you guys know the results!

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Played a 3v3 skirmish match, Grey Knights(myself), Dark Eldar and Space Wolves vs. Orks, Dark Eldar and Blood Angels.

We rolled and got to deploy first, Are space wolf tank army deployed on the far left side, with the Dark Eldar army deployed mixing in
with my Grey Knights.

Their strategy, deploying 2nd : Stack everything on my side. (3 raiders, 1 ravanger, 2 ork trucks, venom).

As the Tanks on the far left side, didn't even make it in the battle, really at all for the few rounds we played through.
My Grey Knight build with my Dark Eldar ally was successfully able to hold off the 3k point team for the three round skirmish.

Castellean got murdered by long range weapons (dark lance or something, I forget)
Dread Pyflemen - MUST have. He was able to shut down (two raiders, a ravanger and a ork truck)

I played my nemesis dreadknight a tad reckless, porting him into enemy lines, just to see his survival.
He survived for 50+ attacks via ork shootas and big guns(not sure on exact name)20+ attacks Splinter rifle fire, As well as multiple hex rifle shots.
He was finally brought down by Ork boss with powerclaw. Personally, I feel that he is better as a defensive anti-mob unit
and his greatsword is a must have.

Rhinos - fortitude saved them quite a bit.

My purifiers were easily able to dispatch anything that stood in there way really, firing 4 psycannons shots moving in rhino,
or 8 shots with stationary. I disembarked my knights to fight a blood angel squad.
Assault 2 psycannon (X4)+Assault 2stormbolters (x5)+cleansing flame+I6 halberds. Wiped them out easy.

Personally I think I'd drop the Nemesis and maybe pick up a 2nd dreadnought riflemen and maybe a vindicare assassin for HQ hunting.

Vindicare goes down in anything short of 1500 points waay fast with only 2 wounds and a 3+ in cover. if there is anyone on the other team or if its 1v1 who knows how dangerous these dudes are theyre dead quick to concentrated fire usually. and even in a 1500 point list they can be fragile unless you have something that is a bigger threat than him
