Does Drop Pod Assault apply if you only have one drop pod? I just played against a space marines player with a single drop pod, which he deployed via Deep Strike. I'm not complaining - I beat him, after all! - but inquiring minds want to know.

Yes. It says "Half your drop pods, rounded up" and half rounding up is one

Dirty Harry wrote:I know what you're thinking. "Did he fire six shots or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world, and would blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

If you're asking if an army with a single Drop Pod must deep strike it first turn according to the Drop Pod Assault rule, then yes. You deep strike half (rounding up) of your Drop Pods on the first turn, and half of 1 is 0.5, which rounds up to 1.

This is why many armies with multiple pods use an odd number, as they get more the first turn.

On a hate rampage.

Yeah, it says rounded up. Half of 1 is 0.5, 0.5 rounded up is 1 therefore..

Yes.
