Subject: Grot Tanks - number o' bits?

Thinking about building a Grot Rev. army, and would like to convert the FW grot tanks a bit, so I'm asking you who have seen them: how many bits do they (the tanks, not weapons or grots) come in? Is it just one bit each for chassis, tracks, exhausts and turrets, or are there more?

Sorry cannot help you here, but I will try to keep the thread alive.
With that said, it should be either be really simple (Not alot of bits due to the size) or really hard. Knowing FORG WORLD, it is most likely going to have a ton of bitz.
Here is my prediction on the bitz it SHOULD have:
*The tank without turret or tracks
*The tracks
*The turret
*The turret barrel
*The hatch for the grot
*The grot itself
*Extra parts like spikes, glyphs etc.
Hope this has helped, as I said earlier, just trying to keep the thread alive!

In the set you get:
- 4 chasis (each in a single piece);
- 8 tracks (each in a single piece); and
- 4 turrets (each in a single piece).
These are all interchangable to allow you to make different looking tanks.
You then get loads of other small bits such as hatches for the turrets, the weapon options, grot crew and exhausts etc.
In terms of the hatches for the turrets; these can only go on the turrets that they match up to.
The turrets also fit the Grot Mega Tank from FW so if you have both kits you can also mix and match a bit between the two.

Thank you. I might have to saw apart the chassises then... Are they compact, or hollow? Or is that too hard to tell?

They're definitely not hollow; they're big old solid chunks of resin.

Convert your own tanks - much more fun and cheaper too. Working out the track units is the only difficult bit - I've used wartrakk tracks and old-style IG vehicle road wheels and tracks.

Ramshackle Games has a couple of tanks that are pretty small, relatively cheap, and I think might make good Grot tanks. At least, I plan on giving these a try.
Here's the Capybara:

and here's the the Liger:

With a little bit of orky....errr...grot fixin, these might work.
Just a thought. Good luck.

Not bad at all. I'll consider it.
@Clang - Maybe, yet I already have some pretty god ideas of what to do with just grot tanks. And I don't really see myeslf as good enough with plasticard yet.
