I thought that since the las-weapons vary alot in the 40k universe, I had an idea of choosing diffirent lasgun variants for each army (an army cannot include 2 or more diffirent lasgun variants in an army, unless ICs wield them.

Here are some ideas:
Lasgun: Str3 AP- range 24" AP- rapid fire
Lasrifle: Str3 AP- range 24" AP- assault 1
Lascarbine: Str3 AP- range 18" AP- assault 2
Lucius pattern lasgun: Str3 AP5 range 24" rapid fire (may only fire a single shot, even if moved)
(vostroyan pattern) lasgun: Str3 AP4 range 24" heavy 1

The vostroyan may be a bit exaggurated, but I tried to make it diffirent.
If you have more Lasgun variants, post them

This idea would make guardsmen armies more variable, and a bit better.

You shouldn't have a blanket statement about making IG better without also discussing point costs. Personally, I'm all for increasing the variability of 40K weapons, so long as they can be represented on the model, paid for, and clearly and/or cleverly explained into the fluff.

Krieg patern Lasgun: S4 AP6 Assault 1

Im alittle conflicted about this one, The krieg rifles use a higher charge, that does more damage, hense the stregnth and AP, but its supposed to fire slower. On the other hand, krieg is infamous for sending wave after wave of bodies, charging head first, lasguns blasting...

To be honest, its very hard to measure such little variations of a lasgun. In the end, you only have a couple of stats to twiddle around with.

The str4 assault 1 weapon would make it OP
AP 5 is a better choice, because it goes through more than just Ork and Kroot armour.
Also, str4 is the strength of a bolter, and even the best flashlights cannot match it (lascannons are basically fog lights)

In the grand scheme of things, a super powerful lasgun (hellgun) is only AP 5, and a hotshot lasgun is only AP 3. No lasgun variant should be above strength 3.

I think if your going to make different las orientated weapons, you should at least make a Las-Launcher.

You need a las-lasgun-launcher. It fires lasguns.

ph34r is right though, some of these are way too powerful. You should never have a las of strength higher than 3, and you probably shouldn't have an AP lower than 3. You should also indicate what point costs you're running these for.

Long Barreled Las Riffle R42" S6 AP- Heavy 1, Sniper, Pinning

I've always believed that the shotgun (las- or otherwise) should be a template weapon. It just makes sense to me.

I've always wanted more customization when it comes to lasguns, I think this is a cracker jack idea! Although point values are obviously up for debate.

I'm just gonna point out that you don't really hear many Necron players commenting on the fact that they only have seven weapons in their whole list!
