The Emperor doesn't have a GKs unshakable faith in the Emperor which is....basically himself?

I wanted to say Yarrick. Sticking a laser in your eyesocket to take advantage of your opponent is pretty hardcore, but at the end of the day I had to place my money with Macharius.

Macharius was probably the best the Guard has ever had. He took like 1,000 worlds in 8 years or so.

There's no Iron Hand Strakken option, so I'm not voting. Or Vance melon-fething Stubbs, for laughs.

I went off what I knew from the Codex ad went with Yarrick, He may not have conquered 1,000 planets, but he was a tactical genius and knew how to mess with an orks head. Also, the fact that he could instill devotion amongst his men without having to execute anyone says a lot about a commissar.

"War is not violence and killing, pure and simple; war is controlled violence, for a purpose. The purpose of war is to support your government's decisions by force. The purpose is never to kill the enemy just to be killing him but to make him do what you want him to do. Not killing... but controlled and purposeful violence."

Objectively, Macharius is the only correct answer, to the extent that allowing him as an option is kind of cheating.

Macharius is said to be equal to or greater than a Primarch in terms of tactical thinking.

Although, Creed can hide an imperator behind a shrub...

Yes, but only if that shrub is slightly to the left or right of the battlefield

Technically, anyone answering Yarrick is wrong, as a fact. Last I checked, Yarrick is a commisar, which is not a part of the Imperial Guard, but a separate but related organization...

Anyway, Macharius is the man. According the fluff, the Macharian Crusade was the largest since the Great Crusade 10,000 years earlier, which says something in and of itself.

That is why he keeps the gardener korps of TACTICAL JEEEENYUS with him at all times, so he can strategically place shrubs
