So I am looking for a few pairs of plastic lightning claws for my new Blood Angels. What sprue has them? I know that they can be found on SW sprues but I want to avoid them if possible because of the icons.

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I am looking to put them on Vanguard marines. The terminator bits are a bit too large

The actual claw/fist on terminators is the same size, you cut them where they go into the arm an mount them to regular arms just after the elbow cop.
Minimal green stuffing and paint disguise their true nature. This one is just cut and fitted with no finishing.

I just did the same thing a little while ago with my bikers. You can take the assault terminator LC arms and file down the shoulder to match the size of a PA marine and with some minor cutting the should pads fit just right and doesn't really look wierd at all

Someone asked this question just a few days ago, I swear...

There are NO plastic lightning claws unless you go with wolves or terminator claws. There is a left handed (?) claw in the commander sprue, but there's none for the other hand. There are some in metal, but the shoulder pads will be attached (see Space Marine Veterans on GW's site).

Your best bet would be to get some termie claws, lop them off at the elbows, and then attach them to normal Space Marine arms that had the forearms lopped off. The scales on termie hands and normal SM hands are about the same.

Or you could get the Space Wolf claws and file off anything that was too wolfy.

The Terminator Chaos lord/sorceror plastic set has power armor lightning claws, they aren't that chaosy either!!

Although it's probably not that cost effective....

Yeah, this came up about 3 days ago. The SW claws aren't TOO wolfy I don't think - nothing that some filing/cutting wouldn't fix anyway

For 23 dollars a hit you can use the Chaos lord, or take up crack cocaine. Theres no cost effective way to do any large number of dual LC

Probably the coolest looking weapons and they're not readily available, it seems like madness to me.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

But they are! You've already got the marine arms, now all you need is to field some TH/SS Termies, and use the 3 extra sets per 5 termies towards marines with LC.

I used the SW ones for my Vanguard Vets and just placed some BA icons on them. I can show you at GE one day. I didn't do twin LC, on mine I went SS/LC. Terminator ones are a good option too though.

I was thinking, this thread gets repeated pretty often. It seems like it would be a good idea for one of our friends at Maxmini or Chapterhouse or Paulson etc to come up with a pack of "powered assault weapons" This weapon set should include left and right handed lightning claws, powerfists, and thunderhammers sized for power armored marines.
I'd definitely be in for at least a couple of sets.

Use SW ones, but file down the offending symbols.
I used thinned down milliput (as a wash) to fill in the text for this:

Also I've started taking photos to use as reference for weathering which can be found here. Please send me your photos so they can be found all in one place!!

The icons on the SW claw can easily be removed with a flat file and a little care.
