Well, I was inspired by some images I saw on the GW page and the flickr look to add some Ogrys to my IG force, the GW models didn't really inspire me so I got a bug up my butt and started doing some hacking and green stuffing. Thoughts? The ripper guns are chopped up, flipper over, and spun around auto cannons. Could -Really- use some C&C please! Ogryn with the Berret is the bone 'ead.

Those look great. I like the headgear. Where you in the military? Takes skill to shape a berret just right.

Great job on the sculpting work. Those models have tons of character, even just from using the moustachio'd heads. I'd love to see them painted. Very well done!

These are cool! Also well sculpted/thought out.

I HATE Ogryns that are based off the 'Bulls' kit but these lead belcher ones are cool.

Very nice.

Just the other day I was throwing around thoughts on how to get some orge minis into a scifi setting.

Whats my game?
Warmachine (Cygnar)
10/15mm mecha
Song of Blades & Heroes
Blackwater Gulch
X wing
Open to other games too

Yeah. I kinda liked the Ogre models but was never one for fantasy. Then I happened to see some conversions posted on the GW site and was inspired. I fielded them last weekend and the four of them ripped the faces off of about 15 Necrons to win the game. I'm pleased.

I really like the proportions - did you alter the standard neck-head connections, or is the look simply a side effect of the raised shoulder pads?

I'm considering doing something similar to make Ogryn slaves to count-as Killa Kans for my ork army, but alas don't have your GS skills...

No, it's just the effect of the shoulder pads. I actually glued the head on first before sculpting on the green stuff for the head gear and chest piece. Then I glued the arms on and did the arm/shoulder pad work. The weapon went on last. The green stuff actually went pretty easily. It just takes time and practice. I bought some tools at The local craft store and found that if you rub the tool on your nose where it meets your cheek under your eye. That helps keep the green stuff from sticking to your tools. Not recommended for bladed tools...
