You can still do Orders with this list... only 2 a turn from the CCS. Creed would really make this list sing, but oh well. Keep the two LC HWSs within 12" of the CCS and 6" of the Lord Commissar to issue 'Bring it Down!' to them. The ACs, having two shots, means even with a BS 3 gunner you have a 50% chance to hit with one shot. You can march forward with the blobs as needed with your PCSs in support. Remember it will be easier for your PCS to issue 'Move!x3' to your blobs than to themselves due to the Commissars, but keep in mind the execution rules. Use the Vendetta as a pure gunship for Vehicles, MCs, and the like. I strongly suggest you keep the Executioner moving 6" and fire both of it's guns a turn... it is really a anti-infantry (specially power armor) vehicle, so use it to take out the right targets. When I say keep it moving, it doesn't have to be forward, just make sure you put your front armor towards the enemy at the end of your movement. I would use at least one blob to bubble wrap around your Manticore, put the Manticore in a woods to make use of the netting, and sit back and blast the enemy to heck with your heavy weapons. The Hydras are there to make Mech Eldar/Dark Eldar cry, but against other armies they are great for putting damage on MCs and popping light transports... as well as thinning hoards.
To upgrade to 2000pts...
Several options really... squadron up the Executioners or the Vendettas almost sucks up all of your points right there. If you did the Executioner and made a squadron, I would consider what you wanted to do with them... adding multi-meltas to both tanks would give you your 250pts. You can then 'gut run' your Executioners up and fire 2 weapons a turn and have the option to take out vehicles if they get in range. Or just leave the Executioners as is and get a SWS with a flamer and a Demo Charge and mount them up in the Vendetta to make it scoring for last round objective grabbing.
If you did the extra Vendetta option, this gives you alot more points to play with. Again I would look at two SWSs with 3x Flamers (50pts) or a Flamer and a Demo Charge (60pts) and put them in the Vendetta squadron. If you do the 50pt SWS option, I would look at giving both of your Vendettas Heavy Bolter sponsons to give them more versitility... just remember the HBs are wasted against armor for the most part. Also remember that you can outflank your Vendettas as well, where with the two SWSs can make it a potent little strike force (as well as side and rear shots with the LCs), specially with the Demo charges.
Then there is the option of just adding on 250pts of troops... either increasing your current blobs or adding a 3rd blob (like blob 1), just take off the Plasma pistol and the Melta bombs from the PCS and no HWSs and you have 250pts. If you like the Plasma Pistol on the PCS, you can drop the Melta bombs from the other two and have 3 PCS with 4x Flamers and a Plasma Pistol. I dig the PP as something to give the unit punch against a walker or light (AV 12 or less) vehicle at up to 12" away.
Good luck and hope this gives you some food for thought!
