Somewhere in the steamy jungles of the south...

Just finished up a Space Hulk commission!

The Forces of the Imperium! I forgot to include a photograph of Noctis, my bad. Still some little tiny bits here and there that need done on these guys, but for all intents at purposes, they are done!
Librarian:

Sergeant Lorenzo:

Sergeant Gideon:

Brother Deino:

Brother Goriel:

Brother Valencio:

Brother Claudio:

Brother Zael:

Brother Leon:

Brother Omnio:

Brother Scipio:

And the obligatory group shot, with the dead Space Marine:

On too the Tyranids! I couldn't get photographs of every single one of these, so I randomly picked out 3 of them as a sample for what the rest look like:

I love the guy on the far left, he really seems to be enjoying his helmet.
And here is the Broodlord! I don't know if you guys can see it, but I made his tongue glossy and wet looking:

And here is a group shot of all the Tyranids together!

All in all, this was a really interesting commission; the Space Marine models are some of the most complex ones I have ever encountered. The Tyranids made a nice, relaxing way to break up the monotony of all of the red armor on the Space Marines!
All in all, I am pretty happy with these guys, and so Andy! So - happy customer + happy painter = a really enjoyable commission!

Comments and criticisms are, as always, appreciated!

I really like the style you paint on on the tyranids.
But not so much on the marines.
You've done a good job on them, that's for sure.
I personally just don't like the cartoony look they have.

But then that look works on the tyranids for some reason.. (which I don't like normally.)

Can't fault the paintjob, but the lack of drilling on the Storm Bolters instantly stood out.

Good work though!

Yeah, I am doing that on the next one-the customer wansn't interested in having the barrels drilled out, so, what can ya' do? Going to be doing the barrels on the next ones, though.

@Deefect: That is understandable, not everyone is into the bold/cartoony look of these. Thanks anyways!

I really like how thick your highlights are.

Are you going to paint the metal parts of the helmets?

Brother Claudio will always be one of my favourite models.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

Very nice! That is a great paint job to motivate someone with!

The pen is mightier then the sword, but you must keep a sword handy for when the pen runs out of ink.

What type of paints do you use, and do you use a thinning agent? Any paint specs you can share would be much appreciated

@Saruss: Thanks!

@Battle Brother Lucifer: You mean the grills on the helmets, or the lights? Either way, they are how the customer wanted, so I cannot change that now! Thanks, though!

@MrH: Cheers! He is a pretty awesome model, your right about that!

@Fattimus_maximus: Glad I could help you out!

@kuromahou: I just used Vallejo and Citadel paints; my only thinning agent was water. Hope that helps!

Love the work done on the terminators . By far my favorite is brother Goriel. The blacked out eye and battle damage is a nice touch. I imagine him as the grizzled veteran of the team with a deep gravely voice, telling sage advice to the newer team members. Good job.

The tyranids are really nice, painted with a very Sci-fi style which I think emphasizes the alien in them.

Very nice work.
