Interesting story behind this model, well, not really, but I'm going to tell you anyway. I originally won this model accidentally when trying to bid up the auction for a mate. I think I won it for around £12. The paint job was ok, but not his best by a long shot and because I'm not really into Lord of the Rings, the model has shamefully languished in my miscellaneous bitz box.

I was talking to a friend at work about painting. They all know I'm a massive geek and paint toys, I don't have to hide it and I kinda enjoy the banter. This friend let slip she's a big Lotr fan (films and books not minis). I decided I'd spend a day stripping (sorry Nick) and repainting Aragorn and then give it to her as a gift on Tuesday.
