I'm looking for some ideas on how to paint up my Space Hulk Terminators. Don't really want to do the standard Blood Angels. I checked in to the Secondary chapters but they all mostly seemed red as well, though I didn't see any terminator pics so I could be wrong.
I had an idea for my own chapter called the Blood of Midas. Marines whose armor constantly tries to turn to gold and consume them but for the holy relics they wear. I was all about this challenge but after looking at the models themselves I began to doubt myself and there went that idea. So I figured I'd turn to my fellow dakkaites for some inspiration.
Any suggestions?

The only BA succesor that isn't red is the Lamenters chapter. If you want to steer clear of BA, you will have to do some shaving and conversion work. Death Company wouldn't work for me, as there aren't any DC termies as far as I can remember?
You could simply invent your own chapter, for example you could look at some of Yggdrasil's work, he has a great scheme with a military grey/tan/khaki type color with blue 'tear' drops. If you don't mind a bit of red, then you can check out GreyDeath's SH termies, from the Angels Sanguine I believe. If maroon and black and ok, then there are also flesh eaters and flesh tearers as previously suggested. Finally, they are mostly red, but the Blood Ravens could be cool too.
Tons of options, have a good look through the Dakka gallery for inspiration, and have fun! Good luck dude

Termie armor is too valuable to send out to certain death, when a 1st company veteran goes wacko they hand him a suit of power armor.
Death Company dreadnoughts are already interred in the sarcophagus when they lose it, so it's not like they can remove them.

Well alternatively if you do not want to paint some BA up you could get some regular termies and paint them up deathwing, they also were involved in a Space Hulk game IIRC.

I too would like to paint my Space Hulk as something other than BA, but most of the figures have a zillion BA symbols on them - removing them or covering them (e.g. with another chapter's symbols) looks like a LOT of work... :(

Speaking of unwanted iconography, I still can't believe how many skulls they managed to pack onto the abor marines i git off of ebay...

Has there been anything in the fluff about a marine wearing another chapters iconography to honor them or maybe if they were working closely with them? I don't know a whole lot about 40K.

If ya not happy with the BA termis design ya own then come up with the fluff for them.. I made an iquisitor/captain out of few custom parts as i wanted some thing different for my space hulk ..
