Yeah you might have over-washed a bit, But i really like the flames, the yellow may need another coat here and there, but it's definitively improving.

Let's start with mold lines. Nothing KILLS a great paint job faster than big, fat mold lines. Take a minute, grab the hobby knife/file and get rid of them.

Color scheme is Great, but it looks like you need to slow down a bit and work on brush control (black/yellow stripes, for example). Lay off the black wash a bit to preserve your colors. Try a brown wash on the red, then do the flames, after you re-highlight the dark red areas. Use the black wash for the metallic areas.

You're on the right track, so keep at it!
