It's a space marine and a Chaos Mutant of Khorne duking it out with blades. Not the most complicated, but I'm still fairly proud of it. So, as usual, what do you guys want to see next?

Looking good.
The only thing that jumped out was the Marine's shoulder pad. It looks a bit too rounded, and the corner closest to the chest might want extending a bit.

Looking a bit more, and the thumb holding the pole looks to go round the wrong side.

Just niggles. Keep them coming.

Honest critique incoming.

The poses are very flat and two-dimensional. The Space Marine's doesn't look like he put any effort into that strike, and his pose is a bit awkward after having delivered it.

The facial expressions don't scream "fight to the death" to me. I'm getting much more of a "oh look, hey, let's fight" vibe.

Movement is always hard to draw; and this is a very good attempt at it.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.

Looking good so far .

like Nerivant said "two-dimernsional" to fix this crosshatch lightly to darker along areas on shadows and your drawing will look more 3D.

in the arm of your space marine you don't want too straiten out the arm it does not look really realistic.

Another thing this is Motion, there is not a lot of motion, unfortunately this can't be fixed with a tutorial only practice will fix that. I was round about the same level of detail with my drawings but then I started using Cluch-penciles and fineliner.

On the more Positive side, you do have talent that much I can easily see! I'll post often and give tips, i'll post my latest that I had drawn earlier today.

some of these techniques are hard, don't take it personally. If you want too ask Questions just P.M. me and i'll try help out.

You need to start from scratch. Look up reference of people actually making the poses you want to make. When someone swings a sword, it's not just their arm swinging, but their entire body. Using reference, also figure out how the proportions work out. That Marine's hands are absolutely enormous, his head is too small, and he's got a weird gut going on. He also looks moderately pissed at best, bored at worst.

The amount of detail you added is alright, but you need to make sure you've got a good framework of a drawing first before you start adding in detail. A good drawing is like changing a tire that way; you've got to work on every bit of it before adding in detail.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I mostly do concept art so my skills at creating motion are not really the best. Also, in terms of the lack of real shading, I actually just got 10 new pencils so I won't have to keep using only one. And as much as I appreciate the artistic feedback tou guys still wont say what you want to see next. (P.S. I'm not drawing Space Marines anymore, their proportions are too hard to get used to.)

I read that you like drawing concept art, (I always love could concept art), concept does not need to have much motion but shading is key to good looking concept art. Hatching and cross hatching are the fasters shading method that looks good IMHO. When it comes down to pencils I only use HB clutch pencils and fineliner, because I don't need different shades of pencil for shading because of the cross hatching technique .

I hoped I help in any way, keep on drawing!

You've got to work from construction lines. It looks like you're just drawing the outlines of the actual drawing without building it up first. Construction lines will let you get the proportions right.
