As my BA reached the level of apoc game, i would like to get my hands on some big toys. As i don’t have any of IA dexes i would like to ask what sort of super heavy / titan should i get for my BA force? Moreover please why i should get one you suggested?

I looked into the apoc data sheets, and there is sadly no good formation for BA.

I was personally thinking of a Thunderhawk, as i have 2 SR's, however my friend would sell me his warhound (some plasma w.ever and that Gatling gun thingy) just for under 200€. I am curious if that would fit into mobile BA force.

There are 2 BA apoc formations on the GW site, no use to you?

If not I'd personally go for the TH if you can afford it, fits in better with the theme of the BAs imho. Although 200 for the WH is very appealing!

As i don’t run Baals, the baal formation is just not for me. On the other hand i find the other one very weird with all the tacs you need for it... therefore i would rather spend my money on Titan/Super heavy.

However i do not know any rules, just anything, about them, therefore i asked here

The Thunderhawk is an amazing model, and epic in combat. I have only faced one once, and it was extreamly good.

However, I would personaly go with the Titan as it, in my opinion, is better.

Even WH with that basic load-out ? Some PC thingy and that twin linked bolter ...

Side question, would it fit fluff wise into BA scheme?

Warhounds run best with 2 Turbo Lasers,but a Plasma Blastgun is just aweful.Titan Plasma Weapons don't get good untill you reach Destructor(2 X the shots,the Warlord version).The Annihilator(The Emperor version) has 3 times the shots as the Blastgun,and the max range on the Blastgun/Destructors is 72 for rapid,96 for Full.The Annihilator has 96 for rapid,120 for full.The Warhound has 2 Gatling, weapons,the Gatling blaster,and the Vulcan Mega-Bolter(looks like it is TL).The Vulcan is better IMO.

I just get home from a apoc game, where ive seen WH with some super HF, i would kinda like it with the D laser ...

However it didnt do much the whole game...there was more use of that super heavy GW tank with transpor capacity packed with 20 assault termies.

The Inferno Gu?18" range + Hellstorm?Str 7,AP3?Waste of a Weapon.The Vulcan Mega Bolter is essential,as it is the only weapon the Titan has that can harm Flyers.The Turbo-Laser is the best weapon it has,and the only Destroyed weapon.

Could be it...no idea about the name but i know it ended a life of many guards man + heavy teams...

Oh as far flayers go , hydras were the answer...

I would get a Thunderhawk.

Flyers are annoying as they are the rarest of all the super heavies(as far as people actually running any) and people don't take AA mounts.



Warhounds are fun. I disagree with Deadshot, Plasma Blast guns are the Boss. Turbolasers are better, but the Plasma blast gun is great for splatting massed number of infantry and it can hurt vehicles too.

Warhound weapons are all the same cost in points, you pay for the Warhound and 2 weapons of choice.


I reccomend double Turbolaser destructor or Turbolaser and Plasma Blast gun.


The Warhound's weapons are in excellent positions for magnitizing(you will need big magnets) so you can get other weapon loadouts if you want.

if you face flyers, the Vulkan Mega Bolter is actually useful(more shots=more 6s) for taking them out due to its weight of fire and its Str6 has a decent chance of damaging them. other then that, its more scary then useful. Its only useful on a Stormlord(cause it can fire twice)

The Vulcan is the only weapon I know of on the WH that can hurt flyers.Templates are out(Inferno Gun),and so are blasts that aren't AA.So that leaves the Vulcan.The Blastgun fire out 2 Str 8 shots at 72",or a Str 120 shot at 96".Not the best for vehicles or Infanrty.Turbo-Lasers spit out 2 large blast Auto-kill,auto penetration shots,regardless of whether the hole is over you or not.

I dont want to sound like i do gak money, i dont really want to buy every option it can have, therefore i would go for most usefull one.

Btw, any BA colour scheme for titan?

I suggest painting the armour plates red,the edging gold,and paint or transfer a BA symbol onto its head.On its shins put down company allegiances and names of SMs and stuff.
