Unhealthy Competition With Other Legions

I have seen this in the forum, but to me it seems to be against the wording in the BRB Can a suit of magic or mundane armour be combined with another piece of magic armour that is not specified as being a suit of armour (light armour/heavy armour)? eg. Helm of Discord and the Armour of Destiny the helm is on the head while the armour protects the torso?

WEll, you may not have two magic items of the same "type", unless you havea specific rule - see the magical interference rule. So half your question is answered.
If the magic item is heavy / light armour / shield it replaces the armour / shield of that type you already have, so you cannot combine them. Other types, which do not have a type but do say they improve armour, can be freely combined within mundane armour

maybe to make sure its clear you can not take a magic armor and a magic helm, they are both classified as "magic armor"

So the Dragonhelm could not be combined with the Armour of eternal servitude for heavy armour, 4+ regen and 2+ ward against flaming attacks?

Are you trying to add 2 pieces of magic armour to the same model? Then read magical interference where the entirely unambiguous rule is given.
If you want the ward save then the talisman can do - heavy armour isnt that expensive.

Sorry, my second post sounded a bit stupid, hadn't refreshed the page. Your right, i had seen it being suggested somewhere and thought it was odd, that's all. It was the dragonbane gem opposed to the helm

Don't get caught up in the name of the item. It's classification is based on its location in the book and its special rules.
The Helm of Discord is indeed armour, however the Wizarding Hat is not (its an Arcane Item).
You'll see even more interesting cases of this in the Army books. In VC for example, you can take a Vampire with Nightshroud (Magic Armour), plus the Helm of Commandment (Enchanted Item), plus the Crown of the Damned (Talisman).
What's in a name, eh?
