Forgive my ignorance, but I've never heard the term Deathstar used in reference to wargaming. What do you mean by it?

A hard hitting unit, typically close combat oriented, that takes up a significant amount of your army's points. Like a 7-man assault terminator squad with a Chapter Master in terminator armor in a Land Raider Crusader in a 1500 point army.

For 40k, my choice would be my Templar Assault Marines with Furious Charge riding in a Land Raider Crusader with a Marshal in terminator armour, lightning claw, and storm shield. If any points remain, Adamantine Mantle for the Eternal Warrior on the Marshal.

Kills gak dead.

However, this one has always been my favorite Death Star to use in any game. I miss Star Wars CCG. *sniffs*

. Easy.

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

A deathstar is a unit that takes up the majority of your points (mots of the time), but is ridiculously tough)

i.e, 10 nob pikers, all diversified, 7 power klaws, etc, stuff like that (900 point squad but people use less power klaws and make it cheaper etc etc ), they have FNP lots of uber abilites

Ccommon one is 10 TH/SS Termies in a LR CR with some uber HQ in, Chapter master maybe? Oribital Bombardment then assault

W/L/D = 23/0/0 (6th/5th)
W/L/D = 17/0/0 (6th)

While that's the general idea, you can't fit 10 terminators and an HQ in a LR Crusader.

a 55 man blob with full power weapons, a priest and creed giving furious charge is pretty dangerous
55+ T3 5+ wounds, 30-45+ rerolling S4 powerweapon attacks on the charge.

A deathstar is a single unit, not a collection of units. An absurd guard blob could be considered a death star, if it had enough powerfists mixed in.

Yes but you could call it a death star, a battery of 9 leman russes working together as opposed to as separate squadrons, even tho its not actually a deathstar, its a setup to be feared, that packs as punch as a whole, 1 nob biker squad packs a similar punch to that

10 man DC with a chaplain and everything except 1 power first : should be 415 and some 38 attacks with charge ? Was much more of a deathstar with jumpacks, 575 points wow thats expensive for that It's still somewhat of a death star, or more of a steam roller with this prices.

Even better a 30 man Death Company with Lemartes all dual wielding thunder hammers and jump pack. Now that's expensive

Expensive, and easily killed/lead around to do not much of anything.

I was joking, it works better then you'd think though. Tried it once with proxies. Still lost, but it took him a while to take it down.

Then my favorite is a ten man Sternguard squad with ten combi-meltas and Tigurius to port them around the battlefield.
