You're not going to have much success even earning camera funds without a good presentation. I would suggest even if you have to borrow a camera or have someone else do your photography, you have to get some good pictures of your work and upload them either here on dakka or on a free photo gallery site until you can afford your own web host. Rather than make potential clients sit through a youtube clip and worry if your painting quality is on par with your video quality. Even if you're the best painter in the world, if I'm someone looking to spend a lot of money on having my army painted, I'm going to be immediately turned off if I can't see clear, static pictures of your actual work, or if there are typos, or if you use an aol.com e-mail address, Etc. (sorry, but I suggest at least use gmail, first impressions really do count and there
are stigmas that people out there still believe.)
What I'm saying is that if you're a good painter, you need to apply that same attention to detail to everything you do related to hiring your services out. That's the only way you'll make a nickle doing this kind of work.
