So the Nemesis force sword is suppose to +1 to an existing invul save. So since my Strike squads don't have any invuls, does this mean they do not receive any bonus from the sword?

Why buy expensive 40k at retail price?

See the link above and get decent 40k armies for a decent price.

Yes as a non-existant Sv cannot be improved, much like the FAQ'd going to ground, it increases your cover sv by 1, but if you don't have one then there's nothing to improve on.

They're swell on termies 4+ invuls in CC though

Pg. 54 of the Codex is quite clear:

"If the bearer has no invulnerable save, there is no effect."

Even better on GM's, who have an Iron Halo. Storm Shield for free, basically in close combat.

Just out of curiosity, where in the faq are you getting this? the latest faq only says that going to ground provides no benefit from attacks that ignore cover saves. Additionally, the BRB specifically states that if you gtg without cover you have a 6+ cover save.

Greebo had spent an irritating two minutes in that box. Technically, a cat locked in a box may be alive or it may be dead. You never know until you look. In fact, the mere act of opening the box will determine the state of the cat, although in this case there were three determinate states the cat could be in: these being Alive, Dead, and Bloody Furious.

This is wrong as laid out explicitly in the BRB.

“Do not ask me to approach the battle meekly, to creep through the shadows, or to quietly slip on my foes in the dark. I am Rogal Dorn, Imperial Fist, Space Marine, Emperor’s Champion. Let my enemies cower at my advance and tremble at the sight of me.”

Unless he meant the Stealth USR. In which case he would be correct, being out in the open does not grant a 6+ cover save.

I'm sure that when he said 'going to ground' he meant 'Stealth.'
