Who will be watching the Rugby World Cup this year? I know I will. I know Im from the USA but my dads side is from north of London. As a kid I got both of best worlds travelling and living in the UK in the summers. So naturally I will be supporting England. I do want to see USA do well this year as well though as Im living here On a side note, any Americans out there all the matches will be broadcasted on CBS and USA has a macth against Ireland on Sept. 11th. They need our support so make sure to tune in!

Ill be watching, its better than the football one.

I want England to win, but im not patriotic enough to really give that much of a gak.

Its funny, I don't particularly love England, but I really hate Scotland.

We are arming Syrian rebels who support ISIS, who is fighting Iran, who is fighting Iraq who we also support against ISIS, while fighting Kurds who we support while they are fighting Syrian rebels.

I really think England have a good chance this time round...

We had some good victories in the warmup matches and as long as we avoid New Zealand until the final, all should be well

I think that they will choke again. The boks and the aussies will beat them.

If that comes to pass then I can see England beating them (but not NZ if that makes sense )

Either way it promises to be a great tournament, I've booked my seat by the bar at the club for the 10th, should be a cracker!

World cup, hell yea. I hope Argentina have a good showing this time around like last round. Watching them beat the shot out of the French on opening day was fantastic.

I would really like to Wales win it.

I'm unsure about Australia.

They run hot and cold.
Just won the tri-nations so good form when they have a full team.

New Zealand at home are pretty damned awesome though.

I will watch what I can...England MUST win their group to avoid the All Blacks in the knock out stages. The squad is...interesting. Decent forwards, but the backline looks 1 dimentional to me. We need Youngs and Flood to be fit, we should have left Moody at home..What worries me is our first game is the Argies, who could be a banana skin for us. Then we have Scotland who can be dire or brilliant....

I think NZ could do it this time; they are just on another planet (although they were recently beaten by Australia. If the Aussie front row hold up, they'll be a significant contender..)

Much as I love the optimism, I really don't think we have any chance whatsoever. The last time we had a really good team, we won the 2003 world cup oh well, my dad's from New Zealand, so I can justify supporting the All Blacks as well

What you need to do is find a British squaddy town like Paderborn and then find 1 of the squaddy pubs there and they will have it on!!

I will be firmly behind the English Rose but I am also behind all the home nations (until England Scotland next week, dunno who to cheer for then cos Im half porridge wog and half english)

Home nations have had a good showing so far apart from Wales and boy was that a close run game!

Then you don't really know what you were looking at then mate.

The USA gave a great performance, particularly defensively. Clever is a monster! I don't watch SA rugby so was not aware of this feller but he gave the stand out defensive performance of all of the weekends games (only missed the NZ one).

When you have Tier 1 sides against even Tier 2 side you can usually expect a 30-40 point win, so to keep the Irish down to 20 odd was good (even weather considered) & score 10. Clever gave a captains performance and his boys took that lead and gave everything. Shame the weather limited things a little I really wanted to see the US winger (Black feller can't remember his name, had a stars and strips bash hat on) released cos he looked like a flyer chasing a couple of balls and he would have skinned a few of those ageing Irish backs given half a chance.

Shame you only have 4 days before the Russia game (I'm guessing the one that the USA's yourney will be building to! ), but I'll be tuning in for that.

You should be proud of the team, they are fronting up against bigger and better teams seems the least the fans could do is the same.

Unfortunately this will happen. The mobile 6 foot+ 20 stone props that most of the Tier 1 sides possess mean that lesser nations will struggle.

Count your blessing that you are not Japanese. Their Locks were barely the same sizes as the French Centres never mind their forwards!

England were mediocre, it was a dire game. The ref (Walsh) was his usual piss poor self and killed the game as a spectacle early on. Soo many penalties given that the game was stillborn. There was barely a scrummage in the first half that made contact before he penalised someone. Glad we scraped it though.

I wasn't trying to disrespect the team, I just wasn't paying that much attention to it! I just looked up once, saw them get steamrolled in the scrum, then the next time I looked up Ireland had just scored.

@notprop - I agree with you on the US team. I think they look surprisingly good, actually. The Russia game was good craic, I thought. The Yanks played with a lot of pride, which is nice to see.

I think Canada look good, as well.
