So I currently play counts as Salamanders at 2k level and thinking of starting a second army. If I did that I think I either want to go Draigo wing with Draigo, Librarian, 2 Dreadnaughts with assault cannon and flamer 10 paladins, and 2 stormravens. Or I would go Sisters with lotsa flamers and meltas I'm really torn between the two. What do you guys and gals of dakka think.

Right now, Grey knights are a good solid army. some say OP, but really it doesn't matter, the meta changes constantly. Sisters are probably going to get a lot of whining about the horrid WD codex they got, but I would personally recommend not going with them simply on the basis that they are an expensive army right now. it's hard to find the models since GW is not doing pewter anymore.

I personally am holding faith that sisters will get a nice surge in the next edition, but I'm not putting the house on it. My instincts tend to be pretty good, but the Sister's history is a strong mark against it.

Long story short. I'm going to recommend Grey knights... but will support sisters if you should go that route.

I think 9 times out of 10 is a little conservative on that estimate, Tagboard!

Draigo Terminators/Paladins armies are almost all plastic and can be built very easily. They have a competitive codex and active support from GW. Sisters have a half baked glorified playtest codex with a bunch of models older than Dakka's average user. On top of that, they're expensive as hell for fairly low point cost models.

I'd go with Draigowing since the codex just came out and the GK army is a good army overall. Sisters of Battle has way too many metal models to count. I wouldn't bother getting a Sisters of Battle army until plastic miniatures are made of them.

If it was anything other than SoB, I'd say pick the non marine army, just because you already have one. However, the above posters make good points, it is a bad time to be getting into SoB, unless you have something special in mind.

What do you like the look / fluff of best?

For me I despise all SM, so the choice is sisters all the way. As for cost a lot of people seem to be bailing on their sisters, so prices on ebay are very reasonable right now.

I say SoB for four reasons:

-They're awesome.
-They mostly use flamers and meltas, much like your Salamanders.
-I'm one of the people who hopes the isters will get a nice REAL codex sometime soon.
-Grey Knights are donkey-caves.

It looks like because of cost I'm probally going with Draigo and boys. I really really like stormravens and think pallies look cool. Even though I've always wanted a sisters army as people have pointed out theyre way to expensive right now.

If you are really interested in starting sisters I do have extra I would give you a good deal on. Just promise me you wont go and resell them =P
