First off, thank you for the compliments and encouragement! I'm at a 'meh' level with how the paint jobs look so far, so it's nice to know others think they have potential!
Small update, since not much has changed. I tried finishing off the areas of burnished gold, and there's still work left to be done. I added the first layer of bleached bone to the skulls, and did most of the required filling-in for boltgun metal. At the end of tonight's session, I gave in to my desire to start work on arms for each squad member, and did the basecoat of chaos black for each of those. I apologize if anyone was hoping for massive changes, but I decided to make this post for a second reason: I haven't really explained much about these models, have for the finer details of this project, here are some explanations for the curious:
I've named the bases not only to represent the fact that these models are more individual than most, but also because if I forget which one is which, I could seriously up my intentions for that particular model. Jozhua, the only one with a traditional 'zerker color scheme, is the finest example of this, in that I almost forgot to make his color scheme different from the others!
These models are the first half of the termies I'll be making for my warband - the second half still need legs and bases, so I'm focusing on these guys till I can spot a good deal for those prerequisites.
Finally, this is my warband's name: Hell Dragons. Sure, it's kinda generic, but it fits for the type of warband the Hell Dragons are - they burn, kill, loot, and generally cause life to be hell for their enemies! There will be draconic imagery, but not anything as excessive as current Spacewolves. One more thing: they ing hate Slaanesh and his/her/its followers with incredible passion.

Oh my! I chose Perses because it's the name of a titan of destruction...it really is ridiculous how different a word can be in two separate languages!

Hey, so I'm in the last two weeks of my current quarter at my college, so I won't be posting anything new for a while cuz I got finals up the !
Oh, and I didn't understand this response at first: I liked them better in the OP when they were Ninjas...
if you meant my models looked like ninjas, well too bad, Khorne doesn't appreciate sneakiness!

You could name him Perseus if you want to avoid embarassing coincidenses like that? He's the guy who killed Medusa , quite a similar name.

Perseus was a total badass, but I'm settled on Perses given the destruction thing. Besides, you gotta save names of mythical heroes for those goody-goody loyalists
Oh, and just to mess with sluggaslugga; PERSES PERSES PERSES. Ok that's enough trolling for this post.
To wrap up this post, here are shots of how my termies were looking at the end of my last session:

So I have some bad news; my camera's lens is malfunctioning, so I need to repair that mother er or somehow get my hands on another good camera before I can post any more pictures. On top of that, my painting sessions are going to be few and far between because my fall quarter of college began this week. I didn't take any pictures of my slight progress before my camera became derpy, kinda embarrassing how some of the eyes have turned out (Jozhua's look like cracked-open eggs with green yolks for 's sake!)

as awesome as the CSM terminator models are, I realise how terrible their posing is.... They come basic with only dynamic posing, which makes having more than 5 of them really annoying.
what camera are you using???? You might want to look into the camera's service record.... I had a camera that only lasted 4 years, period, because one of the internal components lasted only 4 years. Replacing that single component costs as much as it would to buy a new camera of the same grade, so....

For the most part I agree with you, for Jozhua, the only one of my termies in red armor, I had to remove part of the torso so I could raise his arm higher; I wanted him to be raising his weapon like a loyalist chaplain would raise their crozius. I know what you mean with termies looking too similar to one another in the end; I've held some of the guns against the shoulder joints I'm gonna glue them to, and I just keep thinking "I could have the gun pointed towards the sky, but then that'd look like the model was deliberately posing for a picture" since I'm rolling with Khorne troops, I want these guys to look like they're about to kill something. Unfortunately, that means that each model with a gun will have a pretty similar pose.

I use a Canon Powershot SX110. I'm looking up stuff about it now, because I don't want to pay more than necessary to get my hands on a working camera with the quality level I need. I honestly don't know how long I've had it, probably under 5 years...oh, and thank you for bringing up your experience with a camera, I've been tempted to get this thing to a repair place and leave it at that - your comment encouraged me to look before I leap.

In the words of Professor Farnsworth, GOOD NEWS EVERYONE! I've got a replacement camera now, had to shell out about $120 for it and its necessary extra gear, but the quality's pretty close to the camera I started this thread with! Hopefully I'll have time for a painting session soon, but I got a big-ass art project due in a couple weeks, and I'm trying to avoid distractions from that project - it's a huge grade. Anyway, I'm just happy that I finally have an update!

Alright, so I'm close to complete in some areas, but far from done in others! All heads are on, just have to decide what I want to give Jozhua for his right arm...and after the armor colors are done, gotta add the blood stains!!

Thanks for the blessing, but the sad thing is, I don't even have half an army yet...I paint my minis more for the art of it anyway, and I do want to do some more writing based on my warband.
One last thing: gonna be outta town with my girlfriend (got her into 40K, BUT SHE FELL TO SLAANESH! We have yet to offer each other up in sacrifice to our respective Gods, however...) and her family for the rest'a the month, so won't be painting again till January. Hope you all have a good week!

I finally have some progress to show! I am almost done working on my twin lightning claw termie, Oyal. I really only have to paint the skulls and make him gorier, at this point...but without further adieu, HERE HE IS!
P.S. The last photo in this post should be a pretty obvious hint of what I'll be working on after I wrap-up my termies! (though it's likely I"ll be working on both projects at the same time)

I have alot of experience painting khornate models, and the advice that I would offer is that black ink can really tie together the red, bronze, and black. If the contrast is too strong it can make the model look funny. I've always felt that bronze worked better with red and black than gold. There are some pics of what I'm talking about here: http://thewarmastersrevenge.blogspot.com Hope that helps. Automatically Appended Next Post: alot of the khornate models on the site are one page back. Or on the right there's a link that shows khorne-only models.

Hey, thanks for posting, and I like all of your Khorne models! I may give black ink a try somewhere down the road, but as of now, I'm going to stick with the paints I currently have.
I can see what you meant with bronze being better than gold, but the reason I chose the trim paint that I did - burnished gold - is that it seemed the closest color I could get to brass, which is the traditional precious metal of Khorne.
