Uh... Not that I know of... The siege of the imperial palace and the siege of the iron cage being notable occasions, but otherwise...
I'd say no more than any other chapter, but then they are stubborn and a little masochistic, so they would take heavy losses without flinching.

Whereas the SoB getting slaughtered is to make other forces look good the IF getting killed is to make them look awesome...
Funny how that works.

I will give 2 more...at Nimbosa the entire company got killed ( that's 100 marines ), in "Ultramarines" movie another entire company got killed ( that's another 100 marines ), sorry, 1 survived until the very end of the film.

And I always notice Imperial Fist bodies get played with ( the door of the monastery gate in the film ).

The IF wasn't on nimbrosa was it? They where on T'olku trying to negotiate with the tau. Asking them not to invade nimbrosa. (Real odd looking picture of it page 11 of the tau codex.)

I also didn't know the IF were actually on Nimbosa either.

"790.M41: The Chapter takes part in the Nimbosa Crusade alongside the Black Templars and reclaim Nimbosa from the Tau Empire. Heavy casualties are incurred at the battle of Koloth Gorge."

"He reluctantly followed the Tau'Va and became commander of the force that attacked the weakened Imperial world of Nimbosa and destroyed most of the Imperial Guard forces by wearing down their attacks against his men. Finally, in a desperate assault against his soldiers, they went down the Koloth Gorge. Brightsword surrounded them and destroyed not only two Cadian regiments but also a company of the Imperial Fists Space Marine Chapter."

Well, i am quite certain that brother captain Bob was extremely displeased when he noticed that brother scout Fred forgot to buy the batteries from the local Mechanicus battery store.
Although Fred claimed that they were sold out ( he mumbled something about greedy Ultramarines which were hoarding them ) such cheap excuses are of course not acceptable for the
emprah's finest. Fortunately for Fred he died along with the rest of his company.

Though we can't forget the literary injustices the Iron Warriors themselves have suffered as well. They had an entire planet literally covered in fortresses, with I believe it was over 700 defilers and thousands of marines, that was destroyed by a tyranid splinter fleet.

Yeah that's right, a splinter fleet. And how did they do it? Somehow they beat a metal, fortress covered planet using Trygons and Mawlocs.

Yes, this story was fabricated entirely to sell the plastic Trygon kit. It is extremely disappointing.

I can't wait for the Chaos Legions book, so the Iron Warriors can send a force of 300 chaos marines and obliterators, and destroy an entire Tyranid hive fleet.

Is that really less plausible or more irritating than the same fleet's destruction of Gryphonne IV, defended by the whole of the War Gryphons titan legion? That didn't even help to sell anything.

Wasn't the Titan Legion (or at least most of it) actually taken out by a single Tyranid creature as well?

Something ghastly like that. I took it rather personally, since, around 20 years ago, when I first unwrapped Adeptus Titanicus, I painted three of my plastic Warlords as War Gryphons.

In one sparse paragraph of the Tyranids codex, Games Workshop killed a little bit of my childhood.
