So here it is:
71 ork boys
10 nobs
10 lootas
10 burnas
1 mek
1 warboss
1 kaptin badrukk
2 wartrukks
9 nob bikes
5 deffkoptas
1 wartrakk
I think I'm going to add 2 wartrakk scorchas and 9 flash gitz ( ideas for these would be appreciated)

A little more details would be great. For one, what Boyz are we talking about here? Shoota and Slugga are two vastly different strategies, and need to considered carefully.
Badrukk and Flash Gitz suck. As quoted from the Ork Tactica,
"Right off the bat I'm going to state that if you are looking for something competitive, these guys aren't it. They are a very interesting unit but they cost way too much for what they do and they are easily neutralized."
By the way, you should most definitely look through that, hopefully it will give you some ideas on what you want to do with your army. Since you're new, I'll give you the link, too. http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/Dakka_Dakka_Ork_Takktica
Read that, and get back to us.

1- that post was extremely helpful, am I allowed shootas and sluggas? Like 35/35 split? Also I understand the concerns with badrukk ( I sacrificed a war wagon for him) but idk, he looks cool lol. Thanks for the link!
2- I wanna casually play, I'm easy going and not really competitive, just wanna have fun. As for theme I'm going evil sunz.

Before anything else, I have two questions.
1) Do you have the rulebook?
2) Do you have the ork codex?
If either of these answers are no, you may want to spend the cash to get those and read them through about 4 or 5 times each to start. Not trying to be partronizing, just that this is the base to start off with.

Not in the same squad, but you can put them as separate mobs or course.

I have the codex and I read through it. Ya, I'm planning on a split. The rulebook is a no go at the moment

Please, please make learning the rules a priority, at least if you want to play games against people you don't know that you find at your local store. It makes the game better for everyone, and you'll have better results on the tabletop no matter how you put your army together.

So I think I found an alternative. I've asked a few friends and got mixed answers. Can I use baddrukk as a normal warboss?

Okay... First thing is first, hop on ebay and buy the mini rulebook. You can get em for 5-10 bucks and they contain everything that is in the BRB rules wise.
As to your question... You can use your Badrukk to "counts as" a warboss in pretty much any friendly environment. The issue is this will not be acceptable in tournaments and might not fly at some FLGS. Many gamers want their opponents to adhere to WYSIWYG so cheating/honest mistakes are kept to a minimum.
So when people see the Badrukk model they expect him to act like the character and not pull out half a dozen powerklaw attacks out of no where (Like a PK warboss would do). So if you have the model use it. If someone really gives you crap about it, use an Aobr warboss or don't play them.

Okay, I took this question in a whole different way:
Can you purchase Badrukk as a HQ choice? No, you cannot.
Since you're playing competetively:
Flash Gitz are not horrible, but you don't see them in competitive lists, normally. When you pay for Nobz w/'eavy armor, and get those plus a better gun, this isn't a bad thing. Points wise I'd give them more Dakka, add a painboy, and call it even. When they shoot, half the time their AP will defeat MEQ armor. By spending the points on more dakka, you've DOUBLED the firepower of the models for 20% of their price. Points well spent. Throw them into a Trukk or Battlewagon and tool around blowing everything to hell. Badrukk is expensive, but the only feasible way to get them a higher Ld score and a BP.
What theme are you going for other than Evil Sunz(good choice btw)? You still have a few choices. Speed Freeks? Battlewagon rush? Shoota boyz aren't out of the picture, because Evil Sunz love loud noises.
9 NOB Bikers? Are all of them seriously Nobz? I've got a good spread for you at 665 points for 10 Nobz bikers. They are expensive, FUN, and dead killy!

What I found for orks is that you ALWAYS need more boyz, even if you make a list like mine using all 6 30 squads, you always need more boyz.....and on a side note, that completely contradicts what I just said. destroy 1 boy....make it an even 70. the extra boy is driving me CRAZY!!

Lol as you stated, always more boys! I may get the assualt breach box (so I can get a rulebook) and use those boys, have another boss, and possibly, maybe, make gitz

Not a bad idea, I'm converting some AOBR nobs to Flash Gitz myself. Well, it's a lower priority project anyway, lol. So are those bikers, or nob bikers?
