Hey Ho,

Some of you might be getting the impression from me that I'm a little cheap.... heh heh

Anyway, next in my quest for my Orks is a few Ork Lobba's. Now, I don't fancy paying GW's £15.50 unless I have to, and I'm well aware I could make the artilliary if I invested some effort - but I'd rather have something that looks good! (And I'd still be missing the Grot Crew)

So the target is the weapon and the crew for under £15.50, anyone have any suggestions, and importantly, links?

I'm familar and impressed with Kromlech's http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kromlech-Orc-20-cm-schwere-Feldhaubitze-38-ork-/160609675715?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25651529c3 but the problem is that with postage it works out at about £14.40 and at that point I still need to get a grot crew...

Ideally someone could point me in the direction of a very cheap Grot Crew, and a cheap Mortar type thingy.

Go!

ammo runts or grot techies or grot assistants (heck plain old grot models work to) make for good gun crew models

the model you linked looks good but you can kit bash or scratch build them easy enough. I made my kannons with a piece of copper pipe and some wheels from a model. added some ork bitz on and looks pretty good.

for my lobbas I used wood and mad elittle trbochette looking things for a kind of humorous look to indicate primitiive... but if you want a more mortar theme you could just use sma,ll pipe for a barrel . lean it against a grot model to show a very unfortunate grot who has to hold the mortar and then it's technically mostly a GW model for tournament purposes.

Nottingham (yay!)

If you don't object to a bit of Deathskull or Blood Axe loot, then an IG Heavy Weapons Squad gives you bits to make three Kannon, Lobba and Zzzap guns. A few spare glyphs here and there and a bit of rust, they'll fit right in.

Certainly, there's a lot of there guns planned for my Lootas.
