As Hordes: Domination gets closer to release, we're getting a look at the new Warlocks conatinaed within it; joining Sturm and Drang is the Skorne Warlock (and, unless I'm wrong, the first epic Warlock? First of many I'm sure) Lord Arbiter Hexeris.

Through cunning, raw power, political acumen, and tactical genius, Lord Arbiter Hexeris has furthered his own schemes while simultaneously strengthening the Skorne Empire. The lord arbiter’s occult knowledge goes well beyond the lore of the skorne, and no enemy arcanist is safe from his vampiric thirst for mystical secrets. To oppose him in battle is to be sapped of arcane power as he steals and transforms the energies of his foes.

EDIT: Yup, I was wrong about the epic Warlock thing.

Epic Baldur was first IIRC. But he's also on the cover of the book and was supposed to be dead.

I am totally looking forward to this release!

Skorne already has Epic Makeda and Epic Morghoul. Hexeris is the last of the Primal Warlocks that haven't gone Epic.

The release for this, Balder, and Domination itself is November.

Current Armies: Blood Angels, Imperial Guard (40k), Skorne, Retribution (Warmachine), Vampire Counts (Fantasy)

I took it that he was talking about the first Epic from Domination, not the first overall epic.

As Mahu said the we have had 8 epic warlocks since Metamorphosis, which came out 2009. Domination includes epics for the last Primal locks.

Hexy looks more catapracht in his epic version, which cannot be but good thing. The arms are in a strange position though.

Nah, I was just wrong. I had a bit of a brain vapor lock and forgot that the "Forces of" books have epics for both Warmachine and Hordes.

As an aside, I hadn't appreciated before that the battle engine mechanics will be unchanged in Hordes.

Meh, a bit unimpressed by him. I feel like, with Hexeris and the previous two locks (the Circle dude, the Legion Dude) they took the same armour and modified it slightly in order to make it faction specific.

Privateer has been lacking in some of the dynamicism in their models for me lately. I do like the new Farrow Dude, and Maelok is growing on me.

Oh yeah, and the new Alexia is very nice. Can't forget her.

Skorne always looks the same to me. I do like the other stuff they've been putting out lately.
