Hi all,

Since 13th Company are not competitive in 5th (foot puppies just die), I have had to add vehicles to my original lists in order to win a few games.

I also have the idea of having a Bjorn counts as... however, I imagine instead of a standard dread striding forwards, I felt that something more animalistic was in order...

With the juggernaught conversion counts as "Iron Priest on TWC" from June's WD fresh in my mind, I have begun to troubvleshoot some ideas:

- Juggernaught body with hooves replaced with claws, chaos/khorne symbols removed and weapon swaps...

- dread sarcophagus, defiler fore arms, sentinel hind legs in leaping position.

Please let me know if you have any suggestions, sketches/plans, images...

While I wish to adapt to the present meta, I wish to keep everything themed so that the new additions fit in.

somethign like this

The Imperium of Man is able to traverse the Warp with difficulty when their Emperor concentrates from his golden life support machine and lights the way. Unfortunately, because the Emperor has the attention span of the average 5-year-old Pokemon fanboy, this means that many an unfortunate Imperial ship has had the WTF WHERE'D THE LIGHTS GO experience, which in the Warp is invariably fatal.

Just what I had in mind.

That example is still a little unrefined and bulkier than I had imagined, though it will provide a good start point.

Following the 13th Company fluff, it would make sense for them to make their counts-as dreads from whatever they can find/loot - e.g. the resulting machines probably wouldn't be the usual marine sarcophaguses at all, the 13th Company probably don't have that technology.

While I love the above cyber-wolf as a model, the shape and size has LoS implications if you play serious games - it would be preferable for the model to be close to standard dread size and fit a standard dread base.

Obvious choices:
- a 'shrunken' DreadKnight, by removing some leg/arm joints
- something two or four-legged made from a Defiler
- a bulked-up Sentinel (possibly four-legged, made from two Sentinels)
in either case mixing in lots of scavenged/looted bits, of course

Based upon this I have also considered a Canis' mount/Juggernaught hybrids with front claws being from the resin/plastic Cryx Jack set

Also check out the ork kans/dredd models - minus the orky glyphs, they're actually quite sensible walkers, and a great source of bits for other mechanical things.

Maybe find a really obscure company's model for a 40mm base that's a werewolf and sculpt armor onto it?

Personally I couldn't go without rhinos, which i've done up to be like longboats.

MOTF is totally legit. So i've included that, Thunderwolves and "Grey Slayers"

I dare not run more then one Rune Priest or unit of Long Fang's though. I'm not goin' for

@Myrthe.

Sadly no. However my long term goal is to make a P&M blog. At the very least I'll have some pictures taken this weekend of my "longboat."

I like that 4-legged Dread-dog too.

If it were my project I'd be tempted to emulate the battlesuits from We 3.

Latest idea is:

Juggernaught body and head

forelimbs will be plastice cryx slayer claws

rear legs to stay as jugger, or perhaps sentinel or converted with sculpted fur, etc

wrapped in chains with attached wolf tails and other talismans/fetishes to show the daemon has been bound by rune priests.

Ranged weapon mounted on shoulders or on top mounted turret. Shoulder idea comes from Voltron Lion force
