Warboss Gutrippa was finding himself threatened by the popularity of his Big Mek, Gubnutz. Gubnutz had become extremely popular among the Ork warband and had gathered quite a following behind him. If it wasn't Gretchin wanting to be Killa Kan pilots it was Boyz wanting to be Deff Dread pilots and even some loyal Nobz of Gutrippa's bodyguard signing up to be Mega Dread pilots!

Gutrippa could see the future in his Orky mind. Gubnutz would assemble a army of Ork walkers to equal a Space Marine chapter, Gubnutz would beat off other rival Meks trying to take his spot of top dog and would then only be time before Gubnutz becomes big enough to challenge Gutrippa. With such a force behind him Gubnutz would be unstoppable.

So Gutrippa put his big greenskin arm around Gubnutz and whispered a false dream of power in his ear. Gutrippa set Gubnutz on a impossible quest, a quest to build a walker army for every Imperial world in the galaxy. Unfortunately for Gubnutz his knowledge only laid with whotnots and dohickys and not stars in the sky, Gutrippa on the other hand knew the vast size of the Imperium. And with the see sown Gubnutz left the warband with limited followers in tow to conquer the galaxy of man.

Gutnutz's loyal warband are often seen riding to war on weird and wonderful Orky creations, many of these are strange flying machines. Gubnutz has a whole host of Deffkoptas equal to a giant Squiggoths appetie, the Deffkoptas are known as the Crazy 88 due to that's how many there actually is and lead by "No hands" Smashing Death. Smashing Death is known to be either brave or foolish as he boasts he can pilot a Deffkopta without his hands on the controls, his current Kopta is the Blue Beata. What is unknown to others is that Smashing Death's Kopta has been fitted with additional movement servos and Big Mke Gubnutz and a local Painboy have wired him into the Kopta practically giving him control over the Kopta with his mind.

In the warband there's probably quadruple the number of Grots as there is to Ork Boyz. This is probably because Gubnutz and his Meks have a more respectful attitude towards Grots, but only slightly more than the average Ork. The way Gubnutz sees it is the Gretchin make up majority of his walkers and it's better to keep them close instead of having a traitorus Grot run through your camp!

The Gretchin run a bi-monthly tournament which all Grots enter. The Gretchin enter a special combat pit dug out for their tournament, inside the pit are two Grots and a single Squig. The eventually winner of the tournament is awarded a Killa Kan.

Gubnutz himself is a sneaky Big Mek. Once he got shot in the head by a Space Marine Scout with a snipe rifle, fortunately for Gubnutz he survived. Like any Ork he's not one to shy away from a fight, but he does like to be sneaky and protect himself. Gubnutz insists the Killa Kanz lead the warband into battle while Gubnutz hides himself amongst his Boyz bellowing orders. If that wasn't enough he carries around a kustom force field to make sure no nasty sniper bullets hit him in the head again. It is rumoured the replacement face plate covering his eyes can blast eye lasers, but who really knows! Or it could be the flames from Gubnutz's kustom burna designed for cutting apart scrap and power armour.

Supporting the army is Gubnutz's right hand man; Orkitor. It's unknown who Orkitor actually is, some speculate that it's actually Warboss Gutrippa who Gubnutz caught up with after he learned Gutrippa's promise was a impossible task, Gubnutz then smashed him to bitz and made his own cyOrk out of Gutrippa. Others say Gubnutz had seen the Imperial Servitors and created Orkitor out of a recent beaten challenger to Gubnutz's leadership of the warband. The truth is no one really knows. Orkitor is more machine than Ork and only takes simple commands from Gubnutz himself. The only things Orkitor can really do is protect the warband with a built in kustom force field to his body or slice up scrap or enemy humanies with his skorcha.

They look very good to me, but your pics are a little dark. And some goblin green would make them look very much more alive. But i still like them, and your fluff is great.

and i saw 5pts missing in your list, so you can just throw on some eavy armor an a nob/mek...

LOOK!! a shameless self-promotion! (gasp!)

I like the dark-skinned orks. It's a good look, though it's hard to make out the details in a photo. Also: love your fluff! Wish I could come up with a story half as original to explain my Daemons or Necrons...

Thanks man. Yeah the pictures have come out darker than usual, not sure why.

Goblin green would make them look like cartoon characters and utter slowed, not the direction I'm going for.

I'm not fussed about 5 points. I like to take stuff evenly so it would be 'eavy armour on both Meks.

I think I changed the quality of my camera so will change it back again as other photos have come out fine. Thanks about the fluff!

What happens if the squig wins?

How horrifying! What would be the rules for such a kan? Random and scattering movement and a heck load of attacks?

I think rage probably and D6 attacks lol. In the Space Marine game the Squig bombs seem to know what they're doing.

From what I can see (pics a tad dark on mob), the army looks great! Always nice to read a bit of fluff too!

One thing, it'd be nice to see some deffdreads in the mix! Would also take advantage of the Mek/deffdread/troop rule!

Need more 's in my life!

I'd like to see a couple Deff Dreads in here too, would be some nice focal points for the army.

While the pics are a bit dark, I like the army, very nice fluff and fun concept - big fan of the stompy fings myself.

No special weapons in the mobs?

Thanks dude. Deff Dreads are nice looking models but cack in game, tried them several times and they just fail, shame because I'd really like some.

See above about the Deff Dreads.

I changed the settings on my camera and looks like the pictures haven't come out the best, is 8mb but lowered the quality to 2mb so smaller pics. Bad idea!

No weapons on the mobs, they are running all the time so never fire them TBH.

Yes it does have a flash but flash washes out the colour sometimes. I changed the settings on my camera and looks like the pictures haven't come out the best, is 8mb but lowered the quality to 2mb so smaller pics. Bad idea!
