A Kin to the eldar the Ancients have recently encountered humanity. Their meeting did not go well. The Ancients binary planet was shrouded and thrown into an ice age. Enraged the ancients have enkindled a warpath and their empire grows. From their home in the eastern fringe they have received little resistance, but now they grind towards more "civilized" space.

In the ancients there are 4 sects:

The Shrine Guardians: Excel in close combat, deadly demi-characters
The Outlanders: Brutal dead shots, very dangerous at range
The Eclipse: Support only, They change the nature of the battle
The Converts: The canon fodder of the Ancients, made up of conquered races, mild assault unit

Anyways any sort of feedback is appreciated, from rules to points to fluff.

The way the Fluff was written makes it very confusing. Was this intentional?

Well i wouldn't call my self a writer, but what was confusing? Was there a specific thing that was confusing?

The think the lack of any physical descriptions of the Ancients, the rough way of summarizing their actions and reasoning, and the inconsistency with the naming pattern to units is throwing me off a bit.

Questions arise as I I read through the History:

Who is Kotem'Til? Why is he important?

What exactly is the cult of the Ancients?

Who is Yotek and why does he have a temple?

What do the Ancients look like?

Is 'Ancients' a term they use to describe to themselves?

What is their technology like?

With the name of Oberon as one of their homeworlds, was your intent to make an army of Fae?

Just overall, more questions arose than answers during my reading. (Still reading)

Honestly, I don't think there's much of a reason for this to exist. It doesn't fill any gaps in the game, there's no space for it in the backstory, and some of the units are blatantly overpowered (a WS 7 squad of Elites? Seriously? Three-shot pulse rifles on a FNP Jump Infantry unit?). Some of the concepts could be reworked (remove the Eldar connection, make them simply a humanoid race fighting a guerrilla war against an Imperial colonization force; rewrite most of the rules from the gound up), but as it is now I'd suggest you're almost better off setting fire to this and starting over.

Balanced Game: Noun. A game in which all options and choices are worth using.

Rework Squats. Call them something better than Squats and Space Dwarves.

Or, Kroot 'dex.
