How do you make your Las-plas Razorbacks?

I see people with 6+ in lists, do people really have that many old Razorback models?

I have been trying to come up with a decent looking conversion and been unable to really decide the best way, what bits to use, etc.
Plasma Guns are just so small in relative size to any of the lascannons used in sponsons, and no simple way to mount them in a turret either.
Looking for idea, pictures, tutorials etc..

For the AC version I just use the TLAC off a LRC.
The HF version is easy to conver an Immolator turret,
The MM can use the MM from a LRC, or Forgeworld.

But the las-plas I am stuck. And it seems that there are never any old RB's for sale anymore...

Ive seen people who use the twin-linked lascannon turret and just cut off one of the lascannons near the cowling and put two plasmaguns onto the stump

There is a company that makes the turret and I have 5 of them. They are great and good looking.

Made one.

Spare old plasma cannons (they are just plasma guns with better coils to deal with the no "gets hot" ) and a lascannon from an old hybrid (metal/plastic) 2nd ed predator combined with a spare razorback turret plate and bits.

I'm OVER 50 (and so far over everyone's BS, too).

I have tried one to mimic the old model. You cut down the mounting bracket that normally holds to two las cannons so that it will hold a single lascannon then mount one plasma rifle to each side of it. The weapon cowling covers a lot of the roughness and it looks good.

The other I have seen is to mount the plasma side-by-side and just replace one of the lascannons in the mounting.

Both work.

I Hack off both LCs and centermount plasmaguns on the rails. This one is still WIP but the cover hides the join and Ill run some wires from christmas lights to hide the green join.

Here is my thread on the topic of making a retro razorback with modern materials:

The USS Orinoco was a Federation Danube-class runabout that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century, attached to Deep Space 9. It was outfitted with a sensor pod.

I built mine to look like a repressor then attached the LC/TLPG in place of the targetter.

I love that one. It looks great, and makes it really easy to show weapon destroyed results. Plus it looks a lot easier than some of the other conversions here.
