Nice to see that work progresses on this figure - the last hasslefree thread I made contains an earlier WIP so you can see the progression.

"Kev calls this one 'Andreah', she is a female rogue space pirate/trader to accompany Privateer Godwin" - wonder who she's based on?

Personally I'll be picking both of these up as soon as I can!

Great sculpting, but something about the pose of the Female space pirate is off. Maybe its the way the legs are far apart and the hips are forward facing, while her head is up and to the left. Donno.

It's part of their scultping style. The girls tend to be a bit curvy and have first trimester baby bump.

I love Kev's sculpting style, my only issue is the power armour, why o why does everyone try to do something that immitates the good old Space Marine? I wouldn't mind, but Space Marine armour is kack, it's not anatomically possible, and just looks kinda stupid.....so stupid that most of GW's art department, when depicting Marine armour does something that looks nothing like the miniatures!

I wish he'd gone down the route of Mass Effect, or HALO, maybe even something like Deus Ex......just no more Space Marines!

I like the girl, shame though that her arms/weapons are integrated into the whole as they are. Otherwise we might have been looking at sweet weaponswap options.

Agreed, the inability to do weapon arm swaps is the only downside to these otherwise great minis.

Normal humans have to cut off their arms and legs from the body, so that they fit into the armour.

While I can't comment on the space trooper in the hasslefree power armor, 40k space marines really are steroid freaks if you take the time to fill out a marine's armor as sculpted for the tabletop. Not my art but something I found when researching an aborted truescale army attempt...

Great picture, also explains why all IG troopers are the same size as Marines! Obviously the Emporer passed an law that stated that all Imperial Guardsmen must be Baskerball players!

Peeps tend to forget that we as a whole do grow taller over time. Comparing us now to people a few hundred years ago you'll see that we're taller so I guess it's safe to assume that forty odd thousand years from now we'll be a bit taller than now.

Lol, if we extrapolate the effects of proper nutrition and healthcare in first world nations 40,000 years into the future, we'll all be zentraedi!!

Healthcare and nutrition are not that good in the IoM of the 40k universe, so I wouldn't expect giants.

This is what happens when people bring fevered GW hate into other companies miniature threads, suddenly were all having a terrible conversation about lunches in the 41st millennium.

The pirate looks very VOID-y. Did Kev White do a lot of their models?

The girl looks fine to me. Her bum is stuck out and her back is arched because she has thrown her shoulders back. Not exactly sure why she strikes that pose, except it looks defiant.

The problem with the abdomen now I have looked again is possibly with the cross section. It is a tad too curved down the length whereas the "ridge" should be slightly flattened.
I know what I mean but apologies if not explained well enough

That and then some - completely pumped full of chemicals and hormones, and implanted with special organs to continue doing the same thing!

Anyway... some nice new miniatures from Hasslefree - rarely, if ever, do they disappoint!

Yes. He did a lot of the early void stuff.
Vasa, viridians, and junkers basic infantry, the civilian models.

You can really tell if you look at the Celtos line from the same company as well.
That dwarf line was especially good.

Well, my post wasn't intended to be GW hate as such, more a criticism of the way that Hasslefree has opted to do a power armoured "figure" that seems to have taken design cues from the good old Space Marine.....almost as if that form of Armour is the "wheel" of the power armoured world

Well, it's in line with the way he's opted to sculpt power armour before - huge and bulky. Which is in itself a fairly standard option at this point. And you have to admit, it certainly sells the idea that this is power armour at first glance better than, say, Halo's MJOLNIR armour does.

TBH the only similarity with another well known PA that I can see are the bell bottoms. Which are probably due to the size if the boots.

Looks nicely done to me.

Runnin up on ya.

I like the power armored trooper and would buy them if they were in plastic. I'm not going to spend more $ on not-marines than the GW flavor would cost.

Six mistakes mankind keeps making century after century: Believing that personal gain is made by crushing others; Worrying about things that cannot be changed or corrected; Insisting that a thing is impossible because we cannot accomplish it; Refusing to set aside trivial preferences; Neglecting development and refinement of the mind; Attempting to compel others to believe and live as we do
