Nice, could do with a bit of highlighting on the grey though.

Probably work

You need a bit more depth. The colors you've applied look really smooth, but it doesn't look very 'real'. I honestly thought it was a render at first. Highlighting and a wash will go a long ways toward 'fleshing' the model out. I also think you should hit the eyes with a different color.

It's a great start though. I always love seeing non-metallic knights.

Also, drill some bolter barrels. I know it's a pain, but you'll thank yourself later.

It's very neat, but very flat without pronounced shading and highlighting. Also you could do with drilling the guns out.

Compently done, but i think a wash or two would help a lot.

I can get behind the style of this. Get an army painted the same and I would like to see it. Could use more highlights though.

Correct. Despite countless millennia of evolution, technological advances and civilization, we're still monkeys throwing feces at things we don't like.-Zed.

The armor looks a tad flat, the sword looks great!

The Emperor extends His will to us when we destroy the wicked and impure to reconquer the galaxy in His name. The Emperor leads the galaxy to righteousness, and thus we must petition for His judgement on the wicked... for it is judgement without mercy..

Yeah your technique is appears to be solid and nicely executed, but the color choice just leaves it looking flat and dosnt show off you skills properly IMHO.

Looks nice. Neatness is way more important than detail in the rank and file troops and this is no exception.

When I looked at your blog I saw that the grey does in fact have highlights, just a bit subtle. Be bolder in your highlights (but certainly keep the crispness) and he'll look even better.

I like it, but agree with what some of the others have said, the grey could do with a bit more shade and highlighting, and drill out the gun barrels, or at least paint them on.

I will be adding some pin washes of badab black into the darkest recesses as well as adding some slight additional highlights to the rest of the model (similar to those on the tips of the boots and tops of the shins).

However, in person, it does look much better, I think the picture might have washed out some of the details... I need to get a photobox set up and use my next camera to get some better pictures.

Since by your own definition, the model is not in fact complete, I will move this to Painting and Modelling for you. In showcase, please only post completed and based models please!
