As you might of guessed from the subject that this my first ever warhammer fantasy list so please criticize it alot

okay the battle standard bearer and one of the damsels go with knights of the realm the other damsel and the lord go into the knights errant and the paladin on foot goes into one of the men at arms units which go in front of the bowmen and trebuchas to form a gun line with melee defense.

Looks like a okay list, nwo I dont play Bretonnia so i cant give you advice on what neeeds to be charged, reworks and so on. But from my expereience you need more knigths. Consider dropping the bowmen to squeeze in more knigths.

The Virtue of empathy is ten points,
can't have 2 dispel scrolls on one wizard against the rules
The BSB can't use the valorous standard, he isn't a unit of knights

Criticism over

Good list, but I would recommend dropping on unit of peasant bowmen, and having another unit of knights, and splitting the other unit in half to have two trebuchet shields. still, a good list.

in my experience knights fare best in units of 10-15, eight's just too small at 2k.

You have sixteen knights at two-thousand... Why are you playing bretonnians?!

Consider stripping the M@A squads down to thirty or even four blocks of twenty - M@A don't have to be surviveable; One turn of knights can usually break any enemy, and M@A will not survive three turns of combat. After two turns, you've lost your oomph, and those cavalry are quagmired unto death [they're useless, don't have enough attacks.]


I'm seriously in support of 3-20 man squads of men at arms four ranks deep. it gives less for your enemy to attack, and you only sacrifice 20 WS2 S4 attacks.

it sounds like a lot, but in warhammer, your quagmire isn't meant to dish out the hurt. he's meant to take the hurt so that those knights dish out the hurt. their S5 WS4 attacks do a lot more, but if there are only 8 of them, only 7 get to attack! you're only gonna get 8 attacks out of that.


At 2k, a knights army should aim at having 24~30 knights, 40~60 M@A and two trebuchets. You should aim for a magic woman or two.

Also, you can only have one dispel scroll at any time. free up some points.

I can tell you this much drop the bow men my friend runs them every game and they do nothing.

Maybe go with a larger men at arms unit like say 60 in 1 unit and use the rest of the points in more knights and what not.

1 dispel scroll per army.

The trebs rock tho.

More knights is all I can say.

sorry to be a critic again, but the Valorous Standard (VS as it shall now be known) is 50 points and a unit of KOTR can only have a banner up to 25 points, but all in all, I think it is a good list.
