Hey everyone.

I am brand new to HORDES, just in the process of looking up things and getting a feel for it. I am thinking of Legion because I like their playstyle, astetics and well pretty much everything else.

BUT.

Big problem. There is no point in me even starting if I can't get a game, and I know America is where it is most popular. I live in the UK. Whats the Warmachine/Hordes scene like in England? I live in Lincolnshire and would love to get started.

Many thanks

PS, if you are in Lincolnshire and willing to play then feel free to contact me.

Off the top of my head, you have a major games center just north of Nottingham. www.maelstromgames.co.uk has space for 150-200 players and possibly has a couple of club nights. I would try them if I was close.

Other than that I have no idea. Have a look at the list of UK press gangers (volunteers to help build the community and get new players started). Or, and I don't mean to send you away from Dakka, ask around on the warhammer forum as that is a UK board that most of the UK warmachine players hang around on.

I shall be sure to check these out, thank you very much. Unfortunately there are no press gangers in the whole county... And I'm a member of several forums so no worries.

Many thanks.

I'd say you'll easily find a game. Where I am there are three separate groups that I know of (with minimal research) who are playing Hordes and Warmachine.

Its pretty big in London. In fact, in most FLGS outside of GW it is consistently the most popular game.

While I don't live in the UK I do listen to a great Podcast out of there. http://www.boosteddamage.com/
I would check in with them as they do great coverage of the UK Warmachine scene.

From what I have heard from the show there are quite a few pressgangers scattered around the UK. They just had a UK national event a couple of month ago. But give them a listen or check out their forums for more details. I am pretty sure you will find a game.

Good luck!!

There are DEFINITELY press gangers in the UK, there are at least 3 in London and one in the South West, i'm certain that there are more up north.
