I recently dug out a mass of WHFB Chaos stuff I bought long ago and decided to salvage it.

First up is a Champ; Karl Redmane, Ginger of the North.

Some say he was born without a soul. Other believe His hair was changed firey red when he pledged his sould to Tzeench. The only thing that is known for certain is that this pale-skinned warrior is totally ruthless!"

My camera seems to take pics that bleed out a lot of the color. You can barely see the highlights in his cloak. I think I need to get som dulcoat because the clearcoat I have always comes out ever so slightly glossy.

Next is a band of Chaos Warriors I salvaged. They were solid black with some silver around the edges, some gold details and grey cloaks. I have decided I want to paint an army quickly so quality went out the window. I didnt try stripping them or antyhing, just built on what was there. I spent no more than 5 min per fig, then dipped them in *gasp* Army Painter (I know, I know. I'm a cheater, but I'm a cheater with some quickly painted figs!)

I call them my Weekend Warriors because I did them in one weekend (last Sun afternoon as a matter of fact)

I have some Knights of Chaos that I gotta base and I should have a unit of marauders done by tomorrow. My hope is to have a playable army in a week or two, then I have to actually learn to play WHFB!

Any comments, crits or suggestions are, of course, quite welcome.

Glory is fleeting, but obscurity lasts forever.

Considering also your duty as a warrior you should not waver. Because there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a righteous war.

Great looking army man...

But your fluff is all wrong! How can a ginger offer his soul to the chaos gods?!

Not at all! He was either born a ginger (with no soul) OR some think he was NOT a ginger, but Tzeench changed him into one when he gave up his soul. (the truth is that he was a ginger from the start of course)

Just so you know, I am a proud ginger myself, descended from great men like Ron Howard and... others...

Here is Karl's woman, Hallerna.

Hallerna Redmane, Mistress of the Hounds. Many men have fallen victim to her, beauty but even more to her sword. As souless and brutal as her mate, Hallerna is seen in the thick of battle almost as frequently as her mate.

I tried a couple new things with this fig. The shading for the cloak is a lot more extreme than I usually do. i tried some tats but I am still deciding if I like them or not. I also tried to do eyes differently (two white dots on the edges of black rather than 1 black dot inside white.)

Lemme know what ya think. I want to do something nice looking for the base, but for now it is pretty plain.

Here is a Lord Fig. Karl's father, King Harad

I dropped this figure earlier when I cat ran under me. There are some knicks... nicks? how to you spell that? Anyway, I think they are not too visible in the photo. I tried to fix them but unfortuneately there is still evidence of damage...

Very slit modification from the original fig. I don't like the mutation so I gave him a regular warrior shield and a somewhat less silly head.

tried different settings on my camera this time. let me know what you think

Finished up my BSB. This model is quite unstable and I'm not sure what to do about.

And a little Redmane Family Photo for the fun of it

Also, I am working on a Khornes unit of WoC but I'm not sure how to do the armour

There are some more pics and you can help me out and vote on those two here. Thanks!

They look cool man. That standard bearer - if it's unstable get some bits of lead and glue them under the base, that should make it more balanced.
