Hi Guys,
So I haven't played 40k since 3ed, and I was 15 at the time so I'm still trying to catch up.
I've put together some basic army lists and would be really grateful for some feedback
500pt
Warboss - PK, 'eavy armour, BP, Cybork - 105
20 x slugga boyz - Nob, PK, BP, 2 x Rokkit - 185
19 x 'eavy slugga boyz - 2 x rokkit - 210 (Warboss in this squad)
_____________________________________________________________________________
955pt
(added to previous 500)
15 x lootas - 225
add Nob to eavy boyz squad - PK - 45
20 x slugga boyz - Nob, PK, BP, 2 x Rokkit - 185
_____________________________________________________________________________
1470pt
WeirdBoy - Warphead - 85
15 x Burna boyz - 225
bump up all 3 boyz squads to 25 - 110
Deff dread - 3 x Dread CC, skorcha - 95
_____________________________________________________________________________
So thats what I've got to so far, i actually have the models to make at least the 1000pt. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

'eavy armor, for me, costs too much. You can alsmot run another boy for each eavy boy
Also with bigger groups of boyz I like to use shoota boyz, it is hard to get all sluggas into combat range
I like the 1k point list, the lootas are hero's at this point level. Also you should break them up into 3 groups of 5
The 1500 point list will get ran over by anything tank spamming ( and its not IG anymore that has viable spams for AV 13 or 14 )
So i think the 1k and 1.5k lists do need a little more anti vehicle. Deffcopta buzzsaws are used quite a bit as suicide tank killers, they are kept in groups of 1 or 2 ( because of leadership issues )
Burna boyz without transport get mowed down before they hit range.
So, 500 point list drop eavy get more boyz and a PK BP nob
1k drop eavy and get 1 or 2 buzzcoptas ( or something that can pop tanks )
1.5k if you want burnas you will need a battlewagon, and it lacks anti tank weapons
Other than the missing anti vehicle, the list seem fun, and as a fellow ork player I would love to throw my boyz at it.

Cheers for that, would a squad of around 10-15 tank bustas do the trick re the anti tank?
and re the Lootas, wouldnt they be prone to failing morale tests if i only had 5 per squad?
Thanks for your feedback

They would be failing the morale test @ 15, everybody knows how good they are and how easy it is to make them run off a table. If you get dropped on or if they are in range of a large blast, consider them gone because 225 points, in 1 group that has no survivability is an easy target. Also tank busters still have the Orky low BS and they are heavy points, Twin linked rokkits on Coptas are great, it solves the low BS of Ork, and they are turbo boosting scouts, which gets you sometimes into combat range turn 1 and if they have the buzzsaw, you are going to pop AV 12. Also on the lootas if you want to shoot more than 1 thing you are screwed, lets say they are fielding multiple AV12's, you can shoot them all, and if it is one target you want all your lootas to shoot, you can still use them all to shoot the same target, it really gives you better options.

Can't go wrong with KFF and units of 30 boyz with nobs with boss poles and PKs. Ork Boyzx30-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx3 235 ^^^ This is probably a must, as many of these as you can fit in. Rokkits while nice for taking down armor at 500 you might see 1 transport or tank which can be handeled with PKs. So at 500: Big Mek KFF 85 Ork Boyzx26-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx2 206 Ork Boyzx26-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx2 206 497 At 1,000: Warboss -Cybork -PK -Attack Squig 110 Big Mek KFF 85 Ork Boyzx30-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx3 235 Ork Boyzx30-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx2 230 Ork Boyzx30-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx2 230 Gretchinx10 -Runtherder 40 Deffkopta -TL Rokkit -Buzzsaw 70 You could probably dump the Warboss for a 2nd Kopta, and then with the points left over bump up the Big Shootas to 3 on the units then add in 9 more gretchin. At 1,500 Grotsnik 160 Big Mek KFF -'Eavy Armor 90 Ork Boyzx30-Sluggas -Cybork -Nob -PK 365 Ork Boyzx30-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx3 235 Ork Boyzx30-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx3 235 Ork Boyzx30-Shootas -Nob -PK -BP -BSx3 235 Gretchinx10 -Runtherder 40 Deffkopta -TL Rokkit -Buzzsaw 70 Deffkopta -TL Rokkit -Buzzsaw 70 Grotsnik goes with the Cyborked Sluggas, incredibly tough unit, use deffkoptas so he doesn't get kited. The boyz and KFF big mek leave such a large footprint it's tough to kite him anyway. The unit just works amazingly well and always gets at least double it's points back for me, T4 5++ and FnP is crazy not to mention the 9 PK attacks on the charge at S9, it's just incredibly fun. You may want to consider a kan wall too, it's a more competitive option and the only competitive option in higher points that is boy heavy like the green tide (mechanized uses nobz and burnas and wagons take up a lot of points, speed freaks same thing sacraficing points that could be spent on boyz for toyz) but you said green tide and the above are all green tide.

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

Tankbustas are more under your opponent's control than yours.
Take a look at the ork tactics articles. Everything I have to say about tankbustas right now is in the link in my signature below.
Take a browse, it's stuff I've learned(not in other tacticas) since I started again, like you, except I was 13 back then, and it was 1st edition
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me as well. I don't always make it every day, but I try.
